New York has become the sixth and most populous US state to allow same-sex marriage.

The Republican-controlled state senate voted 33-29 for a bill that had earlier been approved by the lower house, which has a Democratic majority.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo quickly signed the bill into law. Gay weddings are expected to start within 30 days.

Actually NY just passed same sex marriage into law.

It's not gay marriage. If two heterosexual men want to get married they can. Just because you are getting married it doesn't mean you are having sex. There will be people og the same sex getting married that aren't gay.


But yes, it is mainly about homosexuals being able to get married now.

I was just pointing out that it's a Same sex law. Meaning two people of the same sex can get married.
