For $18 a month it ought to!!!

Yeah, but when I was able to take advantage of in store exchanges, I made out really well. I probably had about 6 movies a week. So that was less than $1.00 a movie.

Go to a movie theater and watch a movie after buying a pop and a box of popcorn. You'll think what you're paying now is a bargain.

My last trip to the theater (just me and my 13 year old son) set me back $32.50. $16 for 2 tickets and $16.50 for one large soda one large popcorn and one SnoCaps for the boy

Woot woot!!! Not only that, but I don't eat the popcorn at the theaters (only air-popped popcorn made at home) and I take my own bottle of water in b/c the only drinks they have are full of sugar!!! Yep, I'm awesome.

I'm pretty fucking pissed about it... changing my plan from $11.99 to $17.99. Fucking assholes.
:homo: And I don't even use the streaming, my brother does!!! Either I'll be cancelling or he'll be paying for it on his own.

i keep checking my mail to see if i'm getting an increase...so far nothing. I watched Love Actually, for the billionth time last night on nutflix. The hubby and I have decided if they do ask for more than 8 bucks for the shitty movies they give us we'll not pay it and cancel with them.

Blockbusters is in receivership and has closed down most of its stores across Canada. My town has no stores what so ever right now to rent movies from. We have 75,000 people. Small town.

For myself it will go back to watching the odd movie on the movie channels my Shaw Cable Offers me for 5 bucks each.

I barely watch anything on the TV these days so it won't be much to cry over.

Saw this in an article from NBC: Steve Swasey, vice president of corporate communications for Netflix, got back to us this afternoon and responded to our questions.

He said the timing of the price change was "appropriate" and that "$6 more is a remarkable value, a latte or two every month. For most folks it’s absorbable," adding Netflix was "sympathetic to those in terrible financial straits."

Hopefully a large portion of their customers will tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine. Maybe when they can't afford their latte's, they will get real, again.
