neighbor is a cop.

Well, Guitar hero and smoking is like comparing an economy car to a sports coupe. It just doesn't work.

Guitar hero = one time expense for hours of challenging fun.
Pot = a lot of expense over a long period of time with negative health repercussions.

Yeah agreed, guitar hero is safe and relatively inexpensive hobby compared. However there are many hobbies which are more expensive and can be more dangerous than smoking pot.

I just see it a matter of being balanced with things. Virtually any pastime can be a health of financial problem to someone but I dont see that as a reason to ban it. It's about being an adult and taking responsibility for your actions.

Oh I see, you grow your own pot then? Or do you buy it from some dude down on the street corner somewhere? You have absolutely no idea what may or may not be mixed with the pot you buy.

James, when you have smoked weed as long as I have you can tell when the fucker has laced it. And I've got more chance of winning lotto next month then finding some laced weed within the next 5 years. People just don't do that stuff with weed any more. And the only time they did, they would spray it with fly-spray. Which just gave you a bad headache.

Have you ever seen weed up close?

I dunno, there's a lot of shit which goes into rocky. That's why I prefer grass.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Unfortunately its so much cheaper than grass than it used to be. 15 years ago they were virtually the same price. Now rocky is 5 pounds for an eighth which grass in 20 pounds.

Yeah when I lived in Copenhagen. Everyone there was smoking hash, and I had to look real hard to find bud. Over here it the exact opposite.

1. Easy. Not everyone needs an intervention to realize their drug problem.
2. It was a big problem, and thus why one day I decided to do something about it.
3. Hard, but not too hard since I had family support.
4. Yes I still smoke weed. I smoke weed in spurts. Sometimes I go months without it, or sometimes weeks. Varies depending on my mood or other plans. I smoke weed because I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. I disagree with it being illegal, and view it being less harmful than drinking alcohol.

Weed was not the drug I was addicted to awhile back in my teenage years.

Thanks for your straightforward response PT and commendations on having the strength to overcome the addictions. Not everyone is as fortunate to have or find that strength....or have the support. You know, I think a lot depends to on how strong minded a person is, the kind of will power. Some as you know don't have as much which makes it harder to break habits than those with stronger will power. I think that is a major factor.

From what you outlined there as to what you partake in right now, that is not bad at all and seems very much in control.

To be honest, I thought you do cocaine also (or other similar) since I think I remember recently you mentioned something about that. I could be wrong tho.

Anyways, thanks again for responding.

That was yet another drug I did in my teenage years.. would do it again though, given the right atmosphere and budget.

You're right. Some people let it go for far too long and it becomes the only way of life they know. Then for these people to quit, it means changing everything about their life, which can be quite scary for some.
