it's from '57... BUT there is a remake from the 90's with James Gandolfini, Jack (uhh) Lemon... (is that his name, from Grumpy Old Men?)

Hmm.. the old version is a classic... the newer one is easier on the eyes...but the remake does stick to the original story, so it's a toss up I guess..

What movie is that?

Also as far as the other folks ... I'd pm all of them ... give em' a little reminder.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. 12 Angry Men? Here's a synopsis of it:
The defence and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open and shut case of murder soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused, and each other. Based on the play, all of the action takes place on the stage of the jury room.

I'm sorry if I misunderstood what you were asking.

And so, we have 2 votes for 12 Angry Men and 2 for American History X.
Edit: Oh wait, did charLIE2291 change his vote to 12 Angry Men?

Just read up on "12 Angry Men". Looks like a good flick, that could lead to good discussion.

Which version is better?

I prefer the original black and white movie. It's makes a good point about the jury system, when it comes to people and their prejudices.

I vote for American History X

I thought you were saying ... let's watch the original.

And I thought 'The Original' was the name of a movie title. And I was thinking ... hmmmm ... I've never heard of that one before ... lol

I hope this actually gets going. I would hate to see such a good idea go to waste.

I say just pick a movie and go with it.

How about we do 12 Angry Men for June and promise American History X for July???

If that's the case, everyone should have watched the movie byt the 15th or so, so we can have 2 weeks to discuss....
