9 members, that's pretty good. I mean, people can get involved even if they haven't posted in here.

So since we have 9, I think it's about time to start deciding how we'll figure out what movies we watch and then set up one for June!
So what should we do? Here are some possible options, feel free to make your own:

1. Have a leader or leaders. He/she/they pick(s), say, 5 movies (more or less) and we vote on which one we watch.
2. We take turns each picking a movie.
3. We all nominate one movie and then vote.

I like 1 and 3 but if someone has a better idea include it!

maybe instead of just throwing out all sorts of movies, we should narrow it down to a genre and see what everyone is interested in. just an idea

Do you mean doing a different genre each month or just seeing what people will watch and staying within those genres?

I think it'll be more interested to keep it mixed up. I just meant for the first shot- pick a genre, then pick a movie within... and then however we go about picking after that, we can decide on later

So, what's a good genre to start it off then?

I think going for a contravertial or thought provoking film will get more discussion, no offense to the film but something like the new Indiana Jones film really leaves very little to discuss.

Oh, exactly. I think I stressed that on the first page of the thread. I might have even said that another forum I was on picked Transformers... a CGI wank fest with little to discuss. Entertaining enough but that was all that was there.

I don't watch horror movies much unless the movie actually has a purpose or it is a true story. True stories or movies that have good guys vs. evil guys tend to be my favorites.

So far it's only the 3 of us it seems. Where did the other people go? Y'know, those people who said that they were in, on pages 1 and 2.

I wish we could have a separate subforum for this, to make it easier. So we could have threads for nomination then voting, and then a thread for the actual discussion. That way shit wouldn't get jumbled. HINT, HINT.
