Movie Club

So, have you fine people ever considered making a movie club?

This would mean picking one movie every month to discuss. Since it is a month long discussion, picking a classic or at least a movie with tons of things to discuss would be the point of it. While it can be said that every movie can be discussed, I think there's a difference here.

Like, some movies are just really great stories, told brilliantly, like The Godfather, whereas some movies are meant to stir up conversation, like Fight Club.

I hope I'm making myself clear. So, has it been considered? Would it fly here?

Well I think it'd be amazing and I'd like to have a big part in running it but I realize I'm a noob and those damn noobs can't be trusted cuz they cause AIDS.

Well, it was your idea... Sooooo, only fitting that you would at least pick the first movie. Once more people are on board, I would propose a movie. Most of the other things we do like this, we take turns picking things.

You go first.. you pick someone... that person then picks someone--- and so on and so forth

Yeah that's another thing I would want to address.

I've tried this on another forum and we tried two methods for picking movies, and keep in mind this was a smaller forum:

1: Everyone gets to nominate a movie then we vote.
2: The leader(s) pick say, 5 movies and we vote.

Just throwin' that out there as other possible options.

lol I just wanted to get it started. I don't know what kind of movies people watch here so I don't want to pick a movie because I don't want to feel like I'm forcing anyone to watch stuff they aren't interested in.

Would it be possible to get a sub-forum for it though? To keep it more organized.
Once we get more people on board, whaddya say we discuss the direction we'll take this?

Well we might as well throw out ideas for how we're gonna pick movies each month. Then we can start for June.
