RE: ModdedMustangs.com in a crisis

I'll offer incentives, thats not a problem. If the site grows I don't have a problem with sponsors either. I do, however, have a problem with google ads. Do know though Im not looking to "hire" someone. This isn't a job, but there is expectations.

I got to thinkin and came up with a few ideas. They just kind of came to me and the more I thought about them thr more I came up with. They all make sense to me so if you wanna hear my $.02 just lemme know.

MD...I'd be wiling to do a 5.0 room to help people with mods and problems on thier car as well as help with some of the 4.6 stuff..but I in no way willing to help 05 drivers...many might frown on it but most are not mustang people but bought the car for the "look at me factor"

I'm not looking for the piece of the pie like booze is getting over at MF...I just like helping people so the hot rod scene stays alive! :eek:wned :funnah

Vfast youre a good man. I dont want anytihng out of this either. Like i stated before. I like helping people with their cars and i do it all day long. I can do 5.0, 4.6, 4.6 DOHC, 4.6 3 valve, 351, 5.4. blah blah blah. I do 2005's as well and when i was at MF.com i pleased alot of 05 owners. So you keep them comming and i'll keep helping. All it takes is a bunch of us working together. And it looks like we are here for you MD.

Vfast, Casper... close your eyes and imagine what you'd want in a perfect mustang site. you'd no longer have to go to 4 different places to find the info you need. thats what would be done. The site would concentrate on resources and content like tech articles, etc. The forums would grow from there. I want to build the site to be a place to learn things and info for modding your mustang.

RE: ModdedMustangs.com in a crisis

Well.... i like the idea. But its not gonna happen. Im sorry. If i have a problem with a 2001 Ford Taurus in my bay... i dont ask the guy next to me about it. I ask the whole shop, i go to the Ford dealer website for techs to talk their problems. Im sorry but if you think this is gonna be a one stop forum youre dead wrong. People will still go to other sites seeking information... and one place will be MM.com and MF.com, Corral, modularmustang, ..... the list goes on. Unfortunatly... they will get 12 different answers... along with. "I think"

No doubt this should be a one stop place. I would love to log onto MM.com and get all the answers. And by god i would love to give it a try. I am willing to help you out in anyway. You need to realize no matter how bad you want this to be perfect. Its gonna take time.

So lets all chip in and start making it everyones dream Mustang site.

Vfast..... sounds like dog tracking? They dont have rear adjustments... well no rear wheel drive solid axle vechicles do. There are no TSB's or RECALLS. We all know F-150's suck with tires. My suggestion is check front ball joints, idler arm. ANd alignment... take it to a REAL alignment shop. And see whats going on. My guess is something is bent or broken. Like maybe a tired shock. Then put some respectable tires on it... not dunlops, BFG's or other crap. Shoot for Michelins. And you should be alright.

good intake tube. they are truely all the same. Think about it. Youre only letting air come in through a pieces of tubing. BUT you dont want metal intake turbing because it heats up pretty fast. If you do have one next time you run youre car hard... just touch it. SO stock it good personally i think so. BUt it could be a touch bigger. SO any kinda plastic tubing is a good choice. Now its up to you in youre price range. You can buy a kit from a company or you can make youre own... like homemade. I put a cold air induction kit homemade on my Ford Taurus. worked good... sounds prety cool.. lol.

Isn't there some kind of insulation that We can get to wrap the tube. I've been looking around but don't see anything thats super heat resistant except asbestos lined fiber cloth. dont want that now do I. cough Cough.

RE: ModdedMustangs.com in a crisis

Well. It all depends on the temps as well. Some night could be perfect others could be nasty hott. And i mean youre not getting robbed of a ton og HP with heat anyways. I could see worrying about looking for heat wrap on a intake tube if you were in the 9's reaching for more. But most of us are not serious Drag racers. So it doesnt really truely matter. Just buy youreself a plastic pvc of some sort, thats cheap just to have "cold air" and be happy with it.

RE: ModdedMustangs.com in a crisis

casper..I did get a good alingment..got brand new tires ..truck has 30k on it..nothing looks bent only I see and I pointed this out about 5 times is the upper control arms bushings look like they have 100k miles on the as they have large cracks but as you know you can't see if it goes thur all the way unless I remove them and that voids my warrantty..I'm about to say fuck it and order me a poly set for the whole front end...but I never seen a truck drag a rear tire it got way better away the 4th alinement :D

MD...that would be great but let's face it it could never happen but, it could be in the top of the class for info, etc

RE: ModdedMustangs.com in a crisis

Why would it void the warranty if you removed and checked bushings. It sucks to get it off anyways, Unless you have a impact gun and swivel(1/2 inch) Rip those fuckers out and put in poly. Then get another alignment. Hell.... keep adjusting youre front end and keep making them align it and go for a lemon!! lol.

Bossman is the new boss over there. He promises to work hard to get the place movin and find some knowledeable folks to post some how-to's and articles.

Remember, our main goal is to have a shit ton of quality tech for people to absorb. This will take alot of input from the community to do so. Thanks Bossman351, and good luck.
