I don't know if that cost her the crown, but I think it certainly didn't help.
But I do think she answered the question way wrong. She became too "itchy" with the answer. She allowed the answer to be defensive rather than "HERE IT IS".
She should've started out, "I as a person, do not believe in gay marriage, but I LOVE that Vermont has a differen't say...", or some shit.
