Wow I know he's got a lot of haters out there, didn't expect such an impressive reaction.

Watch the vid, he's not a bad man at all. He genuinely wants to make change for the better, and do as much to educate and raise discussion points as possible, and that's no bad thing. He's also not bought and paid for by any corporations. Also not a bad thing.

He is an entertainer that lies and distorts to spew his crap

You can take nothing he says seriously with his liberal bias

He is nothing more than another greedy capitalist who whines about others getting rich. He dresses like a slob but has more wealth than one can imagine as a result of his movies. What a hypocrite

Firstly, prove the statement in bold. He's had lots of accusations thrown at him, few have actually stuck.

Sure, he's a "liberal". If you look at the facts, and more importantly, listen to the people he interviews in his movies, you get a good picture.

why bother

you will just come back with some lame response that says it is not true

there have been plenty of stories about how he lies and distorts.

tbh, I have no problem with some of his films.

They're not my kind of thing, and he's very lucky to gross on average $20,000,000 a film. You can imagine my surprise when Capitalism: A Love Story, was in fact another protest film; and not an autobiography.

yeah from conservatives not doubt.

Seriously, if you're going to level accusations like that, back it up rather than just dismiss it with smilies. I'd actually be quite intrigued to know what he's gotten wrong in his films so far.

Yeah how dare he stand up for working class people, the bastard...
Is he really? I'm pretty sure he is just an entertainer who makes tons of money through the capitalist system he so famously is against. He is just like Rage Against the Machine or the high school student wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt. Its an act.

For all of his politics, he is basically a big government socialist. They are not for the "working man".

Have fun reading

When you lie enough it destroys all credibility

He has done more than his share

All while making millions

The greedy evil bugger would be his worst enemy.

Yeah, um, I checked out those links...they are all just opinion. And every rationally thinking debater knows opinion =/= fact.

One of the links actually criticised Michael Moore himself, as in saying 'Why should a 400 pound man advise us on over-consumption?'. Yeeaaaahhh that's a fallacy you know...you can't critique a theory by attacking the person or their appearance or personality. That's so bloody ignorant and an irrational way of thinking. Just thought I would let you know that!

These links are either a blog post, an opinion shit on a news site or they aren't even rationally written. How are they supposed to be valid or sound? Or acceptable?

You can accuse all you want, but your evidence hardly supports it. A quick Google search and a couple of sites ain't gunna solve it for you.

I agree and disagree. Yes, it is an ad hominem, but...is it really incorrect? If we're talking about over consumption, then it seems a bit silly for someone who has over-consumed themselves to really accuse others of over consuming.

It is like eating meat and then calling people who eat meat immoral.
