I cried so hard! In May I collapsed in a hospital visiting room and was taken to the ER for an IV and EKG. I got a bill shortly after (no insurance) so I paid it and moved on ($600). Last night I got a bill saying I owed $1000 of bad debt and it was in collections. UMMMM what?? I check the mail 5 times per week and never saw anything about this before. Guess it was the hospital fee, and they never bothered to mail me a bill before shipping it off to a collection agency

We were JUST talking about this the other day...it happens all the time. I had one sent to collections, too, even though I had called and spoke to them about it and they were going to "look into it and call you back"...next thing I know, BAM, I'm in collections. *shrugs* Fuckers.
