training day.......the finest actor of a generation in denzel washington is just awesome

Whenever I'm skimming OnDemand for a movie and I don't have a clue what I want to watch, but see Denzel in the cast, I usually opt for it. Even if the movie isn't great, he always is. Which leads me to the last film I watched, "American Gangster." As much as I hate to see him play a bad guy, he's really good in it and the film itself is pretty solid. Russell Crowe is also in it and is quite good.

Shaun of the Dead

Bloody awesome movie. I also noticed the excellent game TimeSplitters was in it.

The Ruins- Well, pretty good movie, but not that scary for a
man eating plant
... and unrated version shows a pretty gruesome sequence when
someone's limbs need to be amputated.

Weird, must be a UK thing. A guy I talk to from Hull just watched Pan's for the first time the other day. Great film though. The best of that year.

I watched Mister Lonely and it dethrones The Dark Knight for movie of the year, I think. Korine is a genius.
Before that I watched The Exterminating Angel and Bunuel is a legend and that is a great, surreal, powerful film.
