The Desperadoes (1943) - I'm not really a fan of westerns, but I was bored, and it was starting on TCM. It was OK, but nothing special.

I've been watching a lot of movies lately. I saw The Conjuring, We're the Millers, Evil Dead 2013, Step up Revolution and I also saw this really old but extremely sweet movie called Love in the Afternoon, it was very romantic.

I'm being forced to watch 'kiddy' flicks these days because my nieces are visiting and will be staying with me for another two months. But the movie I've just watched isn't all that bad:

Denis The Menace.

Mrs. Wilson sure was a patient woman. Maybe it's because Denis' antics were not directed at her.

Now You See Mee

I'd rate it 7/10. Might be a little bit high, but I had fun watching it. The twist was predictable, but I still liked it.

Pulp Fiction.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Samuel L Jackson and John Travolta did an amazing job. The soundtrack was fantastic, the title song (Misirlou) is my new ring tone, and I loved the scene where Uma Thurman and John Travolta danced to Chuck Berry's "You never can tell". Tarantino did his job very well!

Gremlins 2 is the last movie I watched prior to posting this comment.
I didn't really have a reason to watch it, it's just that I wanted to download as many movies as I could, as long as I was interested in watching it, and this one made the list.
It's a movie that doesn't take itself seriously, it has a lot of jokes that are quite hilarious, and some are even quite clever. It's one of the funniest movies I've ever watched, though I miss the dark atmosphere the original film has, which is the only downside for me.

The last film I watched was Hannibal, a boring sequel to The Silence of the Lambs. I can't wait until movie night with my friends so I can get the bland, bland taste out of my mouth.

I watched Will Smith's "Hancock" on weekend, not the kind of movie that I like, but my sister was watching it and having a cup of coffee together, I was engaged with the story and did not move from the chair until it was over, and look that was aired on TV what made it longer than it is really.

Not that bad, although ignoring about super heroes I was clueless most of the starting part of the film.

The Hangover.

I don't how to classify this film. . .um, the genre I mean because it's not funny enough to be called a comedy. Anyway, I'd read the script, knew what to expect but I wasn't impressed by the film.

Point Blank (1967)

Lee Marvin wreaks revenge on the criminal gang who double-crossed him and left him for dead. Moody, violent and really cool... it reminded me a lot of the film Drive with Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan.

Dennis The Menace. Kid was dumb but most of the things he did turned out to work in his favor. In the last part of the film, it's hard to believe that only an accident saved him from being taken hostage by the anonymous thief. Kid had shown the thief how to tie him up properly and even cuffs up the guy then when he's asked for the cuff-keys he actually intended to hand the key over!

I just watched a documentary yesterday called Blackfish, which focuses on the cruel and inhumane treatment of killer whales by places such as Sea World. It documents the deaths of several Sea World employees, as well as interviews former employees for their opinions. I was practically in tears when I saw how they really treated them, keeping them in 20ft x 30ft tubs for 2/3 of their life, in isolation. They remove them from their families as well. There was a particularly sad scene when a baby whale was being taken from it's mother and they were both screaming for each other. I was also surprised to discover that their brains are actually more evolved than humans in some regards, and the documentary shows how they have very complex emotions and bonds among each other.

Yeah, I was watching it yesterday as well, got about half way through before having to stop it. When you stop and think about what they're doing to those whales, you realise it's pretty sad, babies being taken away from their mothers and kept in what are essentially pools for the rest of their lives.

Sidenote: is the rest of the documentary still worth watching in your opinion?
