Good flick, but man does it ruin any kind of image you EVER had of Jake the Snake, huh???

Yeah, the Jake Roberts segment is just TERRIBLE to watch. The segment where Foley's children watch him get his head beat in was difficult to watch as well. Also knowing what happened to Darren Drozdov just after the movie came out, and watching Terry Funk waddle around on his gimp knees always gets to me, the whole movie is pretty sad for me every time I watch it but it is still an AMAZING look behind the scenes of the wrestling business, and probably the best documentary I've seen period.

It really IS kind of sobering. I used to argue w/ people all the time about wrestling being "fake." No doubt, the shit is choreographed and, yeah, there's blading and overselling done all the time, but these guys (and girls) beat their body to hell and back and suffer a lot due to the wear and tear they put themselves through. It's no different than any other RECOGNIZED sport where people suffer injuries. What happened w/ Droz is no different than what happened to that Tulane football player last month. One wrong move and BAM! career over. It's sad.

Yeah most people don't appreciate the science of pro wrestling at all, they are serious athletes who perform more than any other athletes in the world that I know of. A top MMA fighter is doing wrestling to help promote his fighting career right now and he says that wrestling is 3 times harder than fighting for a living.
