Maybe if I had seen the two prior movies, this sequel would have made some sense but I have the distinct impression that the Chinese just do not know how to make a good sci/fi flick. I wanted to turn it off half way thru but my honey wanted to see it to the end. It didn't get any better or more understandable.

Into the Wild

Based on true story. Directed by Sean Penn. Lovely scenery but very sad. Young man distressed with his family and what seems like society in general, ventures to Alaska to live off the land.

Rewatched Sex and the City on Saturday Night. Still laughed my ass off when Charlotte pooped her pants.

Amores perros - 2000

Neo-Noir Mexican film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Amores Perros is the first movie in Iñárritu's trilogy of death, and was followed by 21 Grams and Babel.

Excellent flick but WARNING -- dog fighting brutality that made me cover my eyes.
Actually 3 stories all connected by the events following an auto accident. Numerous flashbacks but not enough for you to lose the thread of the story lines.

:thumbup but not for those who dislike violence.
