Liike Brujah said, only caught about 15-20 minutes of it. I'd love to get all dressed up and go to it one year with people that love it :D

So apparently some guy won a contest to place a $100,000 bet in the Derby. He bet on Super Saver and won around $900,000. :eek

This was Todd Pletcher's first win in the Derby as a trainer. Before this race he was 0-24.

I wonder if I could get time off. I've always wanted to go to the Derby and I'd get to hang with you to boot. :thumbup It would be good times!

 Let me know, I'd make Bryan watch the kids, although. Amara would love it I bet! She loves the horsies!

Isnt the Derby a steeple chase? Is so...:thumbdown I always thought it was...so dont watch.

I was brought up at the track. My dad worked for an S.P Bookie in the war years, my Godfather was a jockey, and his son is a trainer still. We went to Randwick EVERY Saturday

I bet on the winner in The Melbourne cup last year, (my first winning pick in years) and my dream is to attend in person one day.

There's my little champion! :D Isn't she a cutie? This was taken in 2001 when Ashado was a newborn. Who knew she'd grow up to be the remarkable racehorse that she was. Champion 3 year old filly in 2004, champion older filly in 2005 and later sold at auction as a broodmare prospect for a then-record $9 million. She is my claim to fame. :D

Kentucky Derby is flat racing, Steeples (jumps) are in England.

The Derby is a flat race. Steeplechase isn't very big in North America. I've always wanted to go to the Melbourne Cup too! :D
