Kentucky Derby

So apparently some guy won a contest to place a $100,000 bet in the Derby. He bet on Super Saver and won around $900,000. :eek

This was Todd Pletcher's first win in the Derby as a trainer. Before this race he was 0-24.

:eek Holy shit, that's fucking amazing!!!!

I wonder if I could get time off. I've always wanted to go to the Derby and I'd get to hang with you to boot. :thumbup It would be good times!

 Let me know, I'd make Bryan watch the kids, although. Amara would love it I bet! She loves the horsies!

Isnt the Derby a steeple chase? Is so...:thumbdown I always thought it was...so dont watch.

I was brought up at the track. My dad worked for an S.P Bookie in the war years, my Godfather was a jockey, and his son is a trainer still. We went to Randwick EVERY Saturday

I bet on the winner in The Melbourne cup last year, (my first winning pick in years) and my dream is to attend in person one day.

Kentucky Derby is flat racing, Steeples (jumps) are in England.

The Derby is a flat race. Steeplechase isn't very big in North America. I've always wanted to go to the Melbourne Cup too! :D
