A Texas judge faces a police investigation and judicial probe after a video showing him beating his then-16-year-old disabled daughter was posted on the Internet.

The graphic video drew international outrage after it was posted by a woman who said she was the victim of the beating seven years ago and that her parents -- including her father, Aransas County, Texas, Court-At-Law Judge William Adams -- were the ones seen beating and cursing at her in the video.

On Wednesday afternoon, Judge Adams was temporarily relieved of his duties for the next two weeks, and a visiting judge will take over his caseload while the matter is being investigated, according to the office of Aransas County Administrative Judge Burt Mills.

I couldn't watch all of it. I read the article, though, and I love how the mom is not taking ANY responsibility for her actions. No doubt the male was much worse, but she had her part too. I'm curious, though, as to how much can actually be done given that this occurred 7 years ago. And it also makes me wonder just how much abuse that girl suffered considering she actually set up the camera to capture it that night.

Outside of that I'm having flashbacks to the last beating I ever took from my brother-in-law. I kept waiting for this girl to start laughing because that's what I did. The harder he hit, the louder I laughed :fing27

I ran away shortly after that.

But, had I had a computer way back then, I may have done the same thing so I'd have some evidence of just what was going on... hmmmmm..... He's a judge and my bro in law was in security. Maybe I'm just used to this kind of behavior and I'm not as shocked, idk. My parents were violent and always screamed, my mom hit me like this from time to time.

A lot of things I wonder and a lot of points to ponder. Why did she wait so long? Her mom participated in the beating and now is claiming she was abused too....? He works in JUVENILE CRIME. She's disabled how, and yet set up this film? If this is not a crime......can he still keep his job? If the statute of limitations is 5 years and it's expired has she any recourse?

I did not see the video, I don't react well to that sort of scenario.

It has nothing to do with trusting the law. Just like it has nothing to do with any kind of mind set because of a profession someone might work in. It has to do with two fucked up parents doing a fucked up thing to their child.
