For you, you are right because you were born Christian. Therefore you can not easily accept that the Bible contains mistakes or your religion is not the religion accepted by God, I'll understand it, it's too difficult !

But it is not the same thing for me, I was born Atheist ... my parents were too.

Just to correct this assumption...I was not born Christian. I did not accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior until I was in my late 20's. Before that time, I believed the Bible was a book of legends. It was only after serious study that I was convinced of its truthfulness and then was led to repentance and faith...all of this after taking psychology and sociology courses in college and thinking that I knew the psychological reasons why people turn to religion. I was wrong...people turn to Christ because they cant deny that the gospel is true. It has nothing to do with fearing death, needing an emotional crutch (there are plenty of those to choose from in life) or having blind faith.

I noticed that Islam is the only religion exposed to a global hateful attack ..

this is all recent too... Christians have been persecuted for centuries....... not only in foreign countries but in america as well... (maybe not to a horrible extreme in america... but verbal is enough for me...

I never hear about christians going to muslim temples and bombing them , giving them poison or them being tortured.... so i ask why is the islamic religion so appealing? Is it just not understood so people take it to the next level of hate? how come christianity isnt lilke that then?

God has a son !!!.
God (the all-powerful) needs the theatrical of sacrifice, crucifixion and humiliation by Jews.
God is a lamb or a sheep !!! (even if it is symbolic). (John 17: 14) and (Revelations 5:6)
God is drunken (Psalm 78:65).
God sleeps !!!
God is racist ! (Deuteronomy 23: 19)
God is ignorant and weak !! (Corinthians 1:25)
God is just like a rock !!! (Samuel 1:2)
God ordered Ezekiel to eat shit !!! (Ezekiel 4: 12)
God reprimands and threatens himself !!! (Jeremiah 10: 19)
God is Goddamn !!! (Galatians 3: 13)
and so on ...




Moreover ... the relationship between Jesus and The father is still confusing according to the today's bible.
The holy book contains numerical errors !!!

this is nothing comparing with the muslims suffering around the world.
Palestine, Iraq, Chechnya, Afghanistan and Turkey and the Balkans, etc.
The only difference is that the suffering of any Christian can find a place in the international press .. The suffering of those Muslim peoples cannot be seen anywhere in this press !!!

This press fills the world by the howl and bark when the deteriorating health of a drunken singer ... Or during a damage to a car of a stupid actor in an accident .. Or at a dissolution of a marriage of a prostitute actress !.

At the same time, these press and newspapers are committed to fully silence like a stone! .. when a Palestinian village is totally destroyed ... Or hundreds of them are massacred by Israeli soldiers ... Or bombings in Afghanistan and Chechnya .. Or massacres in Kosovo and Bosnia .. we hear no story! .. Only a little breath!

No offense intended, but human psychology seems to indicate that specific religious dogma is exactly that, an emotional crutch, so that individuals have confidence they will be looked after in the next life. Could I be wrong, yes I could.

Could you be wrong? Sure, but you aren't. Even if the bible happens to be true, it's still used as an emotional crutch.

Why do you despise the Bible? Most of it teaches some very good lessons frankly. I think the problem is more with how certain people interpret it.

A red letter bible (one that includes only Jesus' specific teachings) wouldn't be so bad. I'd still have issues with it claiming to be the only way and the whole faith without proof of any kind thing but I wouldn't despise it. It's the rest of the bible along with the vast majority of ways it's interpreted that I despise.

I don't think most people have problems with the moral rules put forth by the Bible as interpreted by modern standards. Most controversy has to do with where the rules originated from.
