Lame excuse all the time...

Why don't they catch the Saudi's?

Make strong fences rather than destroy your neighbors or anybody else's home!
America and her allies are doing the contrary.....creating hate and disaster in other countries, esp Pakistan.
I expect the plane crashes killed em.

we need to get independent of the mideast oil completely

in time if we are smart about it the mideast will lose their money from oil and then the next war will be about water which we have plenty of.

It is just a matter of time before water becomes the new oil

The only difference is there will be no Big Water for anybody to complain about. Because the govt will have full control over water.
We get alot of oil from Canada and some from the mid east..technically we could get by by using all other sources than the mid east..wouldn't last though.
As time goes on the harder to get oil as the easy spots have already been pumped.
Imo we need come up with alternate energy sources other than oil.
Wind solar and hydro are essentially free but are impractical for many applications.
What we need is to learn how to produce an in expensive energy source for trains planes cars and such.

Sent from the toilet.

I agree we need alternative energy sources. But that will take time and money.

For the near term we need to drill baby drill

With money invested in the energy version of the Manhatten Project. Oh wait we already have nuclear energy but that is not safe enough for the enviro wackos. Although France seems to be doing fine with it if I am not mistaken

If we were considering a western culture, I'd agree.
But from my conversations with mazHur and seeing the values of the 'man on the street' (so to speak) I'm doubtful much will change until their value system evolves further. It's incredibly primitive upon taking a closer look. A good 'front' claimed, but a lot of dark shadows hiding their volatile emotions.
Their populace has to want change, rather than denying they need it, before they'll accept an enlightened leader, imo.

If that's correct, maybe it's time to exit Afghanistan and leave them and Pakistan to their own designs.
al Qaeda could potentially see that as a reason to be more open in those nations allowing us to use small black ops teams with good intel and drones without the current investment of the lives and resources of our military in operations involving local resistance.
Occupation hasn't been working well, change the 'game' .
That may even be the thinking in Washington and the military right now, as it looks like there is a lot of effort going on in drone research.

worth a look!

you hit the nail on the thread with this post. including let the black ops do their thing.

The problem with nuclear power is the waste...there are already waste tanks leaking as we speak ..then there is also the possibility of a disaster.
The latest one being the fault of mother nature in Japan as an earthquake.

The US is the current leader in using nuclear energy for electricity..although France will have a higher ratio per KW produced.
Another problem besides the waste is the more you use the more the more you will need /increasing the likely hood of every tom dick and harry{ bad guy} the ability to get a hold of radio active materials.

While it does have its place.IMO it should be very limited and not used for main stream electric.
Hydro is the way to go..the problem is the EPA declaring a dam will harm this life, that life, this grass, that grass.
Also since people like to live right next to the river many family's would have to be moved upstream of the dam..then there are docks..existing bridges....entire towns would have to be sacrificed as well..even some major cities..We do have plenty of river though, its just everything else is in the way.
Wind could be good supplements to existing coal plants and be able to reduce the amount of turbines needed during much of the time.
This is more of a coal issue though than oil.
The high demand for gasoline in the united states is the reason for high usage of oil..the oil produces many products but its the gas that is nailing us.
An internal combustion engine in our case the piston gasoline engine is very inefficient..the largest part of the energy is wasted as heat..the diesel while better still has the majority of energy wasted as heat.
All these soccer moms running around has caused many extra miles to be driven.
People are driving further to work than they used to as well.
Saudi Arabia has the right idea..dont let the women drive..and use the camel when you can ;)....sell that oil to the westerners and have a rich nation as a result.

Could be:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/apr/10/game-changer-us-navy-can-now-turn-seawater-jet-fue/

The Navy just found a way to reduce its dependence on possible adversaries for oil — it’s converted seawater into jet fuel.

The big movement away from dependence on foreign oil will happen if/when fusion generation of electricity becomes a practical reality. But that's been estimated at 20 to 50 years away.

I would have believed you if the American envy and lust for power and the resources of other countries hadn't created havoc in other countries.

The issue is not what you believe, the issue involves facts that you deny.

Iraq crisis: follow live updates

The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham has set out a list of rules for residents of Mosul as it seeks to impose its Islamist rules on Iraq's second city.

Referring to the area by its ancient name, Nineveh, the group says it has a clear set of instructions for the remaining occupants of the city and surrounding area.

Firstly it tells "anyone who is asking," who its members are and what it is about: "We are soldiers of Islam and we've taken on our responsibility to bring back glory of the Islamic Caliphate."

Related Articles
All Muslims in the city have been instructed to attend mosque for the five daily prayers.

It confirms that it seized up to half a billion dollars from the Mosul branch of the Bank of Iraq but states it can be trusted with the funds.

Any one of its members who breach this promise will have their hands cut off.

"No drugs, no alcohol and no cigarettes allowed," it added.

No public gathering other than those organised by ISIS will be allowed at any stage. No guns will be allowed outside of its ranks.

All tribal leaders and sheikhs in the area have been warned not to co-operate with the state.

In a warning to the police, soldiers and other "kaffr" bodies the choice is to repent or face the ultimate punishment. The group said it will open "special places" for repentance.

Outlining its sectarian bias it declared all shrines, graveyards and monuments will be destroyed.

Finally all women must dress in concealing clothing that preserve decency. Females should only go outside "if necessary".

The city has been told that it has tried secular experiments with the republic and Baathist regimes as well as the current Iranian-backed "Safavid" government in Baghdad. "Now is time for an Islamic state," the note signed Imam Abu Bakr El Qurashi said

Here are the facts....YOU have LOST the WAR!!.....................................

Nothing I've posted is secret, to the contrary, well known.
However, you've constantly distorted your arguments and refuse to acknowledge what your own government now admits.

al Qaeda started a war with the US with Pakistani backing and the Taliban while being the rulers of Afghanistan, attempted to provide protection....the Taliban also having support from Pakistan.

Iraq is a different issue with a different dynamic.
It does appear Iraq is going to be divided up among terrorists, but the US currently has no military involvement and thus no war to lose in that arena. If Bush had stayed out of Iraq, there likely would not be the
current crisis.

The war on terrorism was an excuse by the Bush administration to invade Iraq.
It needed NO excuse to engage al Qaeda and the Taliban as it was self defense.
Tough shit for you that your nation backed al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Facts are....you are a propagandist, terrorist loving, racist pervert.
And I have proven that to the forum.

I get sick of the big lie that we were after oil. If that was the case we could stomp the shit out of all the neanderthals in the mideast and take direct control.

That is not to say oil was not a consideration as I believe it was. However we are not in control of the oil. We are only in control of the effort to keep it available.

All the more reason for us to start fracking and close our borders and take care of ourselves first and fuck the rest of the world. Then get alternative energy and be completely independent.

Bush was after control of the direction of oil distribution. Not direct possession.
Iraq has the largest fields of sweet crude in the world and Bush figured it was up for control..

I agree about the fracking and in addition, building that pipeline that Obama keeps stalling on. We actually have enough oil reserves now that shale technology has advanced enough for significant extraction.
We could be oil independent if it weren't a political football.
