Is war murder?

See, you're putting words in my mouth again damnit. I said that we didn't decipher the message IN TIME. Jesus, why don't you stop thinking of what to type next, and try reading for once.
Your exact words were "they sent us a message", which is incorrect and implies you agree with the conspiracy theories. Maybe instead of typing 200 words a minute you should slow down and present yourself more clearly.

I know about the Doolittle Raid. And yes, I'd rather have civilians attacked. I'd much rather not have an attack at all, but I'd rather keep our military men and women, becauce if attacked, they can defend themselves and us. We can't. They can save us.

... :wtf:

So you were happy that the towers were attacked instead of a military installation? huh?

I'd rather nothing gets attacked, but if it must be I'd rather people who can defend themselves with training and weaponry go under fire.

It's war murder by itself?
I think one first has to answer the question: 'Is war ever just?'

If one believes the answer to that question is yes, then the answer to 'Is war murder' would be no.

If however one's answer is no to the question 'Is war ever just', then I would assume that type of person would think 'yes', war is murder.

When is a war justified?
When would one be justified to fight for and protect their family? their home? Apply that to a global scale.

should soldiers be able to choose if they want to fight in a war or not because they don't agree with it?
They need to make that choice before they join the military.

I never said I was happy anything got attacked, damnit, of course I'm not! But if anything had to be attacked, I'd rather it be not a military base. At least that way, they can go into action immediately. I shouldn't have to keep repeating myself.

Great questions Maria!, but I think I can only handle one, lol. A "murderer" (as most of us picture) acts without remorse at the time of the killing, does not really take a second during the action, and think, "I care about what this person thinks", but instead, acts because they shouldnt think that far or they might not do what they feel could be saving other lives.
Murder implies that the person acting was acting without thinking everything through, whether or not the person they are killing is good or bad, or if they "deserved" it or not. But a soldier feels that they have that figured out, they know that who they are killing is bad, and by killing them they are saving "good" people.
To tell you the truth, I dont know where I was going to end up with this post, words are so hard to label things on, and define! Murder, not murder, not sure, but I know that whatever takes life must really know what its doing, lol! I mean, to love life, and have the iron heart to take it down at the same time, my heart could probably tear in two, lol.
One thing is sure, I hope that for every death, the killer can go up to the dead carcass and hold its head, say a prayer, and hope that it can hear them, saying, Sorry, i thought this was needed, and though we didnt have the time to learn each others languages, and talk about things, and hang out, i pray you can now hear me". I think that if everyone who took a life did that, then the ones who didnt would be considered "murderers", lol.
