Since it's using film and a lot of people consider photography and cinematography to be art, I'd say that yeah it sort of is.
I was thinking along the same lines. Photography and cinematography are definitely forms of art so porn, as a product of these two activities, can be considered to be art, if only by default.
Art is what we want it to be really. There are certain works which I find particularly distateful but that doesn't detract from the fact that they are works of art. They just aren't to my liking.

I think it could be. There are some pornography that is NOT art. That is anything that exploits a person. However, anything between two consenting adults, I think could be considered an art if we weren't so prudish.
I remember the times when female sexy stars were featured on the local news wherein they pose nude for paintings that were done "for a cause". They were fully naked, but their private parts were strategically covered. I didn't think that their pose was sleazy or immodest since their privates were strategically covered anyway. Well to me I do not think that pornography is a form of art no as it involves indulging in adult and sexual actions and it spoils the minds of those who are watching such act. Though even in the old times there are some arts and crafts which were done by the Romans et al that is pornographic.

It lets you learn bad habits and then many people require that these practices are done during partnership by force either they go to force their partner to do them while in a relationship a woman has full right to refuse such practice or accept it. It also let people imagine they could do such an act with any girl on the street even if he has no relationship with this girl and this leads to criminality. It is far away from being an art.
