is porn good for society = the big questions

I don't see how it's humiliating for women in porn but not men?

Well Niamh, us women don't actually enjoy sex. Men are horny beasts so obviously they love every and any chance they get to have sex, even if they have to be filmed doing it, but girl's don't really like it, so for us it's a chore we must get through to pay for our seven children/therapy for our abuse/chronic heroin addiction.

I thought you'd know this, being a woman yourself :p

D'oh!! ;)

lol...joe, you're so cute.

Anyway, getting back on topic. ( since nobody but you or I ever goes offtopic) I don't believe that pornography is a necessity by no means, but it's out there and there's really not much we can do about it. We have to realize that, just like anything else, as long as there's money in it for somebody, then we're not gonna get rid of it. IMO...as long as it's not hurting anybody, and as long as everybody involved is a consenting adult, then what's the harm? In a perfect world, any form of pornography would be that way.

the joe can not disagree with any of that miss sadie - well said - final words go to you lol

Of course. Us women are far too delicate for our own good.

I have no doubt that some women are forced into porn, but I don't think they represent the majority. Porn stars (male and female) get all sorts of STI tests regularly, records are kept of EVERYONE they've slept with and when (so if someone is found to have a STI, then everyone who has come into contact can get checked out) and the properly directed ones (not amateur ones) are tightly regulated to make sure there is no disease outbreak, no one is being forced or exploited and to keep the industry clean. They have to be because any hint of scandal tarnishes the whole industry.

I learnt that from some porn documentaries on Channel 4 and in Bizarre magazine, they used to do interviews with porn stars. I always found it a fascinating read.
