Thats actually the point of this thread, dt3. You can't empirically prove anything exists. :^D

My point is.....is that theoretically, nothing could potentially exist outside of your own mind. Our brain works off of perception...one of the most unreliable, trick-able systems ever, and everything around you could be just one big illusion of your brain.

Not once did I ever say that those ideas are anything more than theories. I do not see them as facts. Plus i think the world makes a lot of sense if you look at it from a certain perspective.

First off I'd like to say that if we found out we are in a world that is an illusion the fact that everything is worthless would not justify murder. Thats a pretty big leap.

I don't believe murder is justifiable, that includes state sanctioned murder. If someone has killed due to extreme circumstances that is manslaughter, not murder.

If someone came at me with a knife and the only way to keep my life is to end theirs to the point of they either become a vegatable or put them 6 feet under then I'm going to do it.

Self defense killing is justifiable. The law says so, the courts will say so. Therefore it's justified in my eyes.

self defence isnt murder and is totally justifiable...morally and by the law
