I worked at a strip club many many many years ago...DJing...and at first I thought it was gonna be cool...then i learned what kinda gals these "ladies" (I use that term loosely) are...that's the sort of stuff STDs are made of.
It's not cheating. it's no different then a regular club.
Now if he had gotten lap dances, well that another arena altogether
But I hear American strip clubs are much tamer then Canadian strip clubs, dunno how much truth there is in that though.
Canadian strip clubs are full nude. Americans are partially clothed?

And to be on topic, its not cheating if you ask me.
No different then seeing a naked woman in an R rated movie.

I don't know about in other places, but this one is full nude. I don't really mind if he gets lap dances, either. I bought him one myself when we went together once.

Those were my feelings too. I got a little bitchy because I waited for a response for an hour before realizing he must have went somewhere. I'm pretty bad about doing that to other people, so I couldn't be very pissed about it. As far as the strip club thing goes, though, it just didn't seem like that big of a deal to me.

We had this very debate on this forum a few months back.

I think you are exactly correct about this. Strip club itself is no issue, but being open and communicating IS what is important. He failed in that regard.

I wouldn't care. I was shocked when I found out that my husband had never been to a strip club. I mean, he's 41 years old for christ sake! I'm 25 and even I've been to a strip club. I told him he better go, because the things those girls can do are amazing, well at the good clubs anyway. He still hasn't gotten around to it though. He nearly saw a stripper last year, but he passed out before she arrived. Loser.
Anywho, I don't think it's cheating, but I do think its really sad when women don't have enough trust in their men to let them go out and have fun. I understand it if the woman really has a moral issue with strip clubs in general, but if they just don't want them going because they think they'll cheat, then maybe they're in the wrong relationship.

I would be extremely upset. I don't think I would consider it cheating as much as a breach of trust, especially if he didn't talk to me about it first. I wouldn't leave him or anything, but he would definitely be in the doghouse for several days.

We are incredibly conservative people. We saved ourselves for marriage. The idea of him even going to a strip club blows my mind. If he was going to a bachelor party or something he could probably sweet talk me into going. I would just expect to be told about it first.

No its not cheating, its just a bit of harmless entertainment, no different to looking at porn. A man is far less likely to cheat on you at a strip club than any other kind of bar because the girls are off limits. Try and touch them and a couple of big bouncers throw you out and give you a good kick in.
