Juice cleanses and detox teas are everywhere. Do you think the body already knows how to cleanse itself, or do detox rituals actually help?

Well, the body knows how to clean but it also needs some cleaning agents, therefore, detox is not a myth.

I do not think that body has self-cleaning mechanism under specific circumstances. For example, body cannot heal from excessive plasma homocystine problem. You need vitamins and supplements to deal with toxic plasma homocystine levels.

Mostly, yes. The idea that detox teas or juices flush out “toxins” is a myth. Your liver, kidneys, and skin already do that naturally. However, eating clean, staying hydrated, and avoiding alcohol or processed foods can support these organs.

Your body does not need a detox program. It is designed to detoxify itself.. The body actually does a good job of cleansing itself. The digestive tract, liver, kidneys and lungs work efficiently to keep out harmful toxins

Detoxing as marketed, like juice cleanses or extreme diets, largely isn’t supported by science. Your liver, kidneys, and digestive system naturally remove toxins effectively. That said, adopting healthier habits, like better nutrition and hydration, can support these organs and improve overall well-being.
