Direct action like negotiations. N. Korea is slowly but surely dismantling their nuke program, and that was achieved through purely diplomatic means.

They're actively dismantling their nuke projects as we speak. Could they get it back? Yes, but the thing that matter snow is that diplomacy is working.

The whole firing a missile at Japan was just a publicity stunt to flex their non-existent muscle to make the world pay attention to them for a day or two.
