ok, again, alien allen, I was talking about these quotes objectively

why do people have to be such jerks about things? Can't some one post a nice quote and have other people appreciate it for the meaning behind the words?

i also think these quotes apply today, I think these are good things for us and our government to keep in mind

I don't really see it as being offtopic. You posted quotes from FDR, and FDR is being discussed. It may not be the way you intended the conversation to go, but it's still a relevant discussion.

All presidents have great quotes. I am glad these quotes touched you Janie.

I really like alot of Jefferson quotes. His memorial is my fav in DC.

WWII was good. the korea one i didn't like.

The Jefferson memorial is great cuz it is off the beaten path and not as many people are there.

DC is pretty spread out. We were there on a hot day and walked all over and were beat. I missed the NAM memorial. We were on the other side of the reflecting pond walking up to Abes. When we hit the Korea memorial at first I thought it was the Nam memorial. :willy_nilly:
