I'm fairly sure Tim is right--he doesn't strike me a someone who spouts information without knowing its validity.
I didn't mean to imply that he would do that, I just need the exact bills so I can play "catch up".

Yes--because certainly I'm the only one concerned with my own agenda! You on the other hand are concerned with other people's agendas!!!

Personally I would like Obama to get in, McCain, well it's got to be better than Bush, right? The way you go on you would think Omaba would be the end of the world.:24:

Ok Peter--let me explain this in terms that you likely will be able to understand:

So if you vote for Obama . . .

We are laughing at this right? I don't really see a point, well at least not a truthful one represented in the media, to this war other than oil and the usual suspects.

I've been waiting for Dana Scully to slap down Fox Mulder. We all new it would happen. :D

As far as the video, most soldiers in Iraq, all of who have lost friends, or have been injured, are very patriotic people who hope to God that their sacrifices have been for a good cause. Hopefully most of them have not lost their ability to analysis a situation and realize that Obama is a better friend to them than the current Administration.

Ok Peter--let me explain this in terms that you likely will be able to understand:

You've made it very clear vote for the hot babe, just don't worry about what's in her pretty little head...;)

Uhhh--there's no "hope" about it--they know it--because THEY ARE THERE AND KNOW THE TRUTH. You on the other hand are content to accept the lying and distorted dribble of people with a political agenda. That's what's so great about most of the soldiers--they have no agenda--whether they are democrats or Republicans they know what they see in Iraq--they know what they experienced--they talk to the people--they know the "inconvienient truth" that you will never accept.

Hopefully most of them have not lost their ability to analysis a situation and realize that Obama is a better friend to them than the current Administration.

LOL! :24: Yes--I'm sure that soldiers would much rather have Obama as their commander in Chief than McCain!! :24: Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? Soldiers don't care about your union driven drivel and prejudices or the rest of Obama's and the Democrat's claptrap. All they care about is doing their duty and who can best lead them -- and it for damn sure isn't Obama--I can't see that guy leading a soldier to the mess hall.

Jesus man don't come here and try to compare McCain--a Vietnam Vet and POW to Obama in the eyes of a true soldier--they will laugh in your face regardless of whether they are Democrats or Republicans.

BTW--I've got a nephew in the Air Force Academy--and he's already experienced liberal "patriotism" -- been called a baby killer and disrespected when he's in his uniform. Why do you think the overwhelming majority of soldiers support Republicans in general and certainly McCain specifically?

Mr. Agenda, whenever the word "agenda" comes out of your mouth it bounces right back and smacks you on the forehead.

The truth? The war can be viewed as a conflict, as in how to execute it. Or it can be viewed as policy. What did we want to achieve there? Obviously you think the guy in the fox hole, knows the truth regarding both issues because he is being shot at? I challenge that on both levels.

The generals run strategy, 5+ years and counting. The low level officers and personnel below them just do what they are told to do, take this objective, clear that neighborhood.

The Administration set the policy, a disastrous policy of unprovoked war and you think most of the grunts there all have a clear vision of what the ultimate outcome is and what has been achieved as in we are saving the world from Saddam Hussein? What's more you think they are all unified in their support for this mess?

It does not help when your Administration started aggression based on lies with a fantasy outcome. And you think everyone was briefed on that? :(

BTW--I've got a nephew in the Air Force Academy--and he's already experienced liberal "patriotism" -- been called a baby killer and disrespected when he's in his uniform. Why do you think the overwhelming majority of soldiers support Republicans in general and certainly McCain specifically?

Typical 2+2 = 50 logic. So now "liberals" view military people as scum and call them names? That's your conclusion? You're such a sad case. Your blanket labeling of liberals is so twisted, and you don't realize it or don't give a damn cause you know what you want out of your politicians and your country. Your intolerance is scary because it is a type of thinking that's a threat to democracy.

Uhhh--there's no guys being shot at in fox holes--that was World War II.

The generals run strategy, 5+ years and counting. The low level officers and personnel below them just do what they are told to do, take this objective, clear that neighborhood.

Interesting your use of the term "grunts" to describe the men and women of the military--same way Kerry described them--speaks volumes about how you and your party perceive these people.

And you completely miss the point. We aren't talking about the reasons for the war. Let's assume it was totally unfounded. The point NO ONE can reasonably argue is that the world is better off without Hussein in it and without him in power. The "truth" I am talking about is the truth as to what's actually going on in Iraq as compared to the lies and distortions that the media chooses to portray the world (and its much worse outside the US--in fact its unbelievable how ignorant and uninformed the average non-US citizen is about what's actually going on in Iraq). That is what this young man is talking about--he doesn't care what the reasons were he was sent to Iraq--all he knows is he sees the difference between what was, what is and what will be and he realizes the people are much better off. That's the "truth" you will never accept--10 years from now if things are much better in the middle east, you'll still rationalize it as failure--that's what you do--that's what your party does--its the party of defeat, the party of failure, the party of bad news, the party of pessimism, the party of surrender. And its the "surrender" part the US soldier can't accept and why the US sodier doesn't want to be led by Obama because he/she knows Obama will do whatever he thinks will be most popular with the US public opinion at the time (same thing Clinton did) regardless of whether its the right or wrong thing to do.

All I did was tell you what one soldier has experienced of the liberal viewpoint on Iraq and the military. You can take from that whatever you want.

Your intolerance is scary because it is a type of thinking that's a threat to democracy.

Now that's the pot calling the kettle black. I'm not the one that gets rid of right wing talk radio--that's your side of the political fence. You confuse intolerance with disagreement. I don't have to tolerate any opinion I don't agree with. You are free to express your opinion and I am free to discredit it--that's how Freedom of Expression works--its not Freedom from criticism or rejection or discrediting, its simply freedom to express. Liberals don't like their opinions challenged, whcih is ironic because their the ones that claim to be the supporters of the 1st Amendment.

Oh please, don't start with the "McCain is a hero" BS. He was a bust as a soldier, at best. He wrecked 3 other planes due to carelessness before he biffed it in Vietnam. A soldier's duty is to escape capture, and rejoin the effort whenever possible. He refused release, when offered. I'm sure you know what his nickname was while there... "songbird".... you can look it up. 20 fricken hours of combat, and he received 24 medals. Whatever!

OH, I suppose that's not PC, is it? Well, it is what it is, right?

That's the biggest pile of shit post I've ever seen. Incredible how much you liberals disrepect military service (Yeah, I know you give it "lip service"--we respect the troops--what a crock of shit). He refused release because there were other solidiers ahead of him. What he did was the honorable thing to do--a foreign concept to a liberal. :rolleyes

You better hope a soldier doesn't read this claptrap.

This post is absolutely ridiculous. I heard someone ask Obama why he never joined the other day. His response (paraphrased) was "Well, we weren't in an active war at the time so I went to Harvard instead". At least McCain had the balls to serve his country, voluntarily I might add. And he went to and graduated the Naval Academy during a period our country wasn't in an active war.
