And that's nuts... I bet it was Benny Hinn's followers. Those people are at the top of the list for the cocktail meds at the loony bin.

Pretty much. I wouldn't care either except these people try to impose their views on others through legislation.

omg we need to think of some insane thing and get dumb peoples money tooo!!!!!!

There were some enterprising Atheists offering their services. For $135. they will pick up your pets after you've been Raptured and take care of them.

I saw a man on the news this morning that was going to put his pets down just as soon as the Earthquakes started in Denver today...:willy_nilly:

It's pretty sad actually. We'll be talking as we are on 12/22/2011 too.

Tho, I must say I was looking forward to seeing the Mothership come down and take the SlaveRace off to their new destiny.... Oh well..... Considering I figured they'd shoot the IndependentThinkers, I'm better off :ninja:cool:24:

I didn't see that yet. PBBB did post a cute pic she found of a kitty trapped on the ceiling trying to figure out how to get through it :24:

There is no date for Armageddon in The Bible. There is no 'rapture' in The Bible. If I remember correctly, The Rapture lore came about sometime in the 1800's. I've read conflicting stories about whether it was a man or woman that came up with the story.

I think history will prove that "The Rapture" story has proved a very successful marketing campaign that has made a select few very, very wealthy. Imagine that....

What has always made me wonder about these preacher-types that profit from this supposed-prophecy is the fact that Jesus was quite pissed at those who were making money in His Father's name way back then. How are these Prophet$ any different?

Whatever..... Not my karma to worry about. Like PT Barnum said, there is a sucker born every minute.

It's kinda funny. There have been wars, famine, sin, natural disasters, etc. from the beginning of time. How exactly is that a "prophesy"? I'm not disputing God, just the Bible. It's been interpreted too many times for it to be accurate. Even then, there are no exact dates in the book anyway. People are bonkers.

According to some research I did last night (no, seriously), the world was supposed to end LAST year.

Our world was suppose to end over 1900 years ago according to the first Christians. Ever since then Christians have been predicting the end of the world in their lifetime. Most of them are wise enough not to believe an exact date.

Yeah, prophesy is BS. Even I can do it. I predict a powerful nation in the east will start a bloody war with the people of God but God will not forsake his elect. Write that down and send me $20 so I can pray for the people of God. May the Lord be with you and yours!

Um, you're off by a millenia or 2. The end of the world has been predicted waaay before Christianity was ever thought of. I don't know why some believe Christianity is an old religion. In the scheme of things, it's actually a modern religion.
