i had the shittiest day ever. :(

i was sleeping on the reclyner while my mom was over today and she was out side sitting down reading a book. she comes running in screaming telling me my 72 year old neighbor alice Fell over so i get my ass up so freaking fast and run out side and see my neighbor in her big flower pot. i dint expect to see that at all. apeerantly she fell backwards on it. she was literally laying on it with her head dangling down in the trees. at that time my mom already called 911 and were on the way and at the time was still breathing. but when i got out side i went over to check on her and she wasnt breathing at all and her face looked like she was dead. (this will haunt me for the rest of my life)

well the police woman came running over along with the EMT's and at that point i had to go back inside. i couldnt watch this as they were putting her on the stretcher. i went back out side after they put her in the ambulance and they asked me a few questions that i couldnt answer. and i asked a question i already knew the answer to and the question was is she dead??
the guy said he cant say either way. i already knew when i saw her and knew she wasnt breathing that she had already died.

i cant shake this feeling at all. it is such a horrible feeling. she was such a nice lady and to see her laying in the flower pot with that look on her face is something i will NEVER forget.

my mom was telling me that when she was out side reading she was taking out her trash and putting water in her buckets to water her flowers. next thing you my mom hears and owww and then a thud and saw her. at that point alice was alive and breathing but not talking and my mom called 911 and bang on her door to get her daughter but her daughter wasnt home. she was in mississippi.

i will always remember this day but more importantly i will always remember how she was such a wonderful lady.

she litterally died doing what she loves and that was taking care of her flowers.

I know this can be difficult. In my line of work Ive had to remain on the phone with people while they are taking their last breath.. that is the hardest.. I get to hear their last words... they beg me to help them and its horrible. I also had to sit there and watch my grandmother take her last breath.. that was an experiance that I wont ever forget either. :(

Hang in there, You are a good person. Other people would of just laughed and walked away. You got her help!! May she RIP.

Your a good man Haus for doing what you did. Just shows you got a big heart :) Its definately not something you ever "want" to have to go thru and its rough but with time you will understand a little better.I was at work at the time when my grandma came in on the stretcher pretty much DOA. I went hysterical. You dont ever expect your own family to come to the ER in an ambulance, especially the way she did.Did you ever find out how she died? Maybe a heart attack?

So sorry to hear that, its definitly a life altering experience. Try to learn from this, if you can. Life is short, and were all just trying to survive much like other animals. Death is always a shock because you just never know when its coming. Live you life like you were dyin. Once again im sorry

Thanks all of you.

im not really sure how she died but her daughters boyfriend said it was a heart attack.

weird thing is a few days prior my up stairs neighbor died as well. he had a cancer. but this is just more freaky cause i saw her laying there the way she was.

and 9 months prior to me moving in the woman i took the place over for died out side as well

another thing that freaked me out was when i went inside i saw someone in a yellow shirt in my Apt. in the corner of my eye and then disapeered when i turn around. Alice was wearing a yellow shirt when she died. :confused

Hi Haus.

Just seen this thread as been away for a bit, so having to catch up.

That was a lovely, true kind-hearted thing you did, hun.

That is weird with all the deaths there.

Seeing someone in that yellow shirt and the fact your neighbour had a yellow shirt on, holds a key relevance I think - that is, that as far as I'm concerned, things like that happen. It happened when my Nan died and I get those sort of vibes and feelings too, like many ppl do with dead ppl - I think that she was there to comfort you and to say thank you.

May she R.I.P. as she deserves to, by the sound of it.

You be assured that you did all you could and more than most would. It's not a comfortable feeling what you had to do, but you did do it. Make sure you don't bottle things up if they are getting to you a bit much, ok? Talk as much as is needed about it - it has obviously troubled you a lot.
