I apologize for the IQ comment. You are an obtuse personality, or you operate in an obtuse fashion by design. Practically every religious critique I offer up is returned with a slight against my motivations and character. That looks poorly for you.

Sincerity after the fact......

You are an obtuse personality

More sincerity :D

Whine, whine, whine
I love this forum :D

Replace the word 'critique' with 'attack' and the reason for the responses you get is easily seen, MA.
You actively seek out targets to disparage and it's backfiring on you.
Insanity is repeating the same action and expecting a different result.......take the hint :D

That looks poorly for you.
.:D
You forgot the 'IMO' :D

You'd like me to keep your delicate feelings in mind? Lol. If every critique is an attack, that's a short coming that stands in the way of your ability to offer measured and fair responses. You are very predictable. :)

Slick, I haven't asked you to critique my beliefs nor have I challenged anyone to debate them.
I haven't debated anyone's beliefs but your own because there's an obvious contradiction between what you claim to believe and the way you act towards others of different religious beliefs.

You are very predictable.
I find your thought processes very disjointed.....:D

Case in point.......you believe in an Earth Simulator/spirit world but seem very confused on how it came about, to the point you imply multiple creators and then deny posting the comment....when it's there for all to see......
Another case in point......you often keep asking the same questions apparently because you didn't like the answers......I will concede, the issue may be reading comprehension or even early onset of Alzheimer's.

I don't see where he implied multiple creators at all. It's the way you may have interpreted it, but it isn't what he said. At least you can be honest in that point.

Really- spirits have a single creator? Tell me about it. Better yet, quote some scripture to me.

He is questioning you about your belief that spirits have a single creator. He is not saying that spirits have multiple creators because it can mean a whole lot of things here since it's not only a question but one that doesn't have his spin on it.

There aren't only two options here, single creator or multiple creator which you are implying incorrectly.

Case in point- Your all wet spewing hyperbole. It remains that the inability to distinguish between critiques and attacks is your problem. It probably effects you at work too. And your repeated insistence that I believe in the Earth Sim is your end run around meaningful discussions. Keep saying it if it makes you feel like your winning. :)

Do you even understand what a critique is?
It's not a question and answer session among debaters. It's a scripted article that presents a critical evaluation.
You aren't critiquing my beliefs because I'm not posting them for debate.

Sincerely......look up the words you use to attack me before you post and you'll surely look a lot less foolish.

Your all wet spewing hyperbole
And you are whining again :D

It probably effects you at work too.
No.....It does not affect me at all.
I'm retired and I've posted to that effect in the past :D

And your repeated insistence that I believe in the Earth Sim is your end run around meaningful discussions.
Well, it is difficult having a meaningful discussion with some one that claims both a religious belief and agnosticism while using words they have no understanding of.
And you don't seem interested in open discussion, you seem to be looking for attack vectors while making yourself look foolish at the same time :D

I will admit, you do make this forum a lot of fun for me. :p

Keep saying it if it makes you feel like your winning.
Keep attacking me in the same way, what do you expect?
My responses still work no matter how much repetition.
But take a look at your own progress.......you've had it too easy attacking fundamentalists and now you are in a real debate and obviously drowning. Winning?.....there's nothing to win in your game.......I'm doing it for amusement :D

Look who's asking, lol. Here, I'll help you: Critique=criticize= to make judgments as to merits and faults. Cry now like a little baby because I've attacked you again. Actually I see potential and what I have hoped from you is a reasonable response, but it does not look like I'm going to get it. :hellno I will try to ignore you, not saying I'll be successful. Would that make everyone happy? :)

For the OP, sorry for messing up your thread, I'll try to keep this little disagreement buttoned up. If you notice, I was being pursued. ;)

You do realize you just admitted to attacking me with out provocation all those many months ago? Some times you look like are your own worst enemy :D

I will try to ignore you
No one is going to believe that :D

I doubt few believe that either :eek

Good one :D

LOL, nah. This is what happens in the world of debate and it doesn't bother me one bit. In the back and forth arguments, there are things that get the ol' noodle thinking as usually both sides do offer some good points.

I will never label myself anything. I have atheist friends. One says he's always being threatened or shit on for his atheist views and tries to take Bible versus and start a debate about religion. In my mind atheism is no better than religion. It's just a cult of another color. Another is a Wiccan who is in my opinion confused. I have days where I like to believe there is a higher power, and I believe there is more to our existence than flesh but then there are days where I say fuck it why does it even matter? We won't surely even know until we can have a near death experience and report on it with full detail; which will probably never happen. I say fuck it and live for today because even though I may believe in something; NOTHING is a sure thing.

You sound Agnostic. Don't know, can't know until we pass over the brink. In the mean time, not that you need my advice, if there is nothing after death, then there is nothing to worry about. However if there is something, a continuation of consciousness, it means there is an opportunity to carry lessons forward, and it might be better time spent by trying to learn something and improve yourself by what every standard you care to apply. Life is too wonderful experience in my neck of the woods to allow the experience to go to waste. But I can see that there are places in this world were life sucks (relatively). But, it would be possible in the worst hell hole to walk away with something positive.

That's open and honest.
You seem committed to yourself rather than committing everyone else to way of thinking.

I sense many people have values they impose upon others and yet rationalize in their own lives.
Hypocrisy......it seems prevalent in all beliefs ......and atheism/agnosticism.

Trying to compare faith and science is like walking up to someone and asking "Do you walk to school or carry your lunch?"

Bottom line when it comes to faith, there is nothing factual to argue and when it comes to feelings, how can anyone's feelings be promoted as more justified? Like minded people form faith based groups. IMO numbers of believers don't count either, otherwise Christianity would loose. So where does this lead? There is no single correct answer. If it was important to know the one right answer, it would not have to be in the realm of faith, and it would be much easier than adopting the group you were raised within or taking guesses. So, in conclusion, go with the flow. You know what you need to know despite the guy up on the pulpit telling you what you should be believing and how you should be acting. Most church goers don't listen to that guy anyway. :D

So....why do you complain when I point out your own religious beliefs in an Earth Simulator/spirit world conflict with your claims of being an agnostic?
You attacked my beliefs with out provocation and now post something like that.

Why shouldn't you be considered a hypocrite?

Non sequitur.....your logic does not follow.
The point MsPoppy made and I've referred to in the past is that faith is an explanation for the unknown that science can not study nor explain.
Of course there is only one correct answer. The point is faith can't prove it in scientific terminology so all conceivable answers become highly subjective.

Blather :D

uhmmm......."You know what you need to know "
I take it you're not into higher education?
woo-woo :p

Well....you had to eventually get one right.
