OOOO.. I hit a nerve:ninja and as for jumping to conclusions... now your putting words in my mouth ...(oops, that wasnt a tag team reference:cool)...I never said she denied him either...just said she never offered. If my kids have/had mates over, and they come in and get something to eat or drink, I ask if they offered it to their friends...its called manners here. If they ask for something they cant have, I offer something they can. Its not hard.:dunno

Hit a nerve? Hardly. You just always seem to be whining about being tag teamed or attacked or whatever else lately.

The kid didn't come in asking for water. The kid sent her son in to ask for Sunny D. She told him no and gave him water instead. I'm sure if the kid asked for water, she would have given it to him. But he didn't.

I honestly don't see what the issue was with that. Showing anger to the kid in the second and third examples probably weren't appropriate. The first is really a who gives a shit. But that seems to be what everyone is making a big deal over.

Wow! Bunch of responses! Honestly I haven't read them all and I don't know if I am repeating what anyone else has said but...

the only thing that bothers me is the last incident. Maybe it is just because we have to watch these things in the classroom otherwise we are faced with legal issues, but to put your hands on the child and shove him out and then use profanity seems to be pushing it a bit. You always have to look at it from the outsiders point of view. If it came to the child's word against yours, I think everyone would take the child's side since he is still young enough not to know any better (even though he really should).

It is not my business to tell you what to find aggravating or not. The kid does seem like a little snot. However, no matter how annoying her gets, you need to make sure you are not setting yourself up for any trouble in the future.

I'm still wondering why the hell Sunny D is so special....

WHY are you people so hung up on the drink!?!? I mean, really!?!? It would have been tbe same if it was juice, tea, soda (which isnt even an option for kids in my house but thats besides the point), milk, koolaid, etc!!

No shit its an unhealthy drink. Just about everything these days is "unhealthy". Just because YOU (general) have/want to count calories, watch what you eat and stay away from the "bad" stuff doesnt mean everyone else has to! We enjoy food and drinks of all varieties both healthy and unhealthy

He gets a small serving once a day, sometimes not even everyday. Hes an active kid, always outside running around and playing and is hardly ever inside. he eats good and loves any and all fruits and veggies you give him. So yeah, if i want to give him a "bad" drink, i can because i know thats not all hes getting

Has anyone talked to the grandparent yet about the child ?
It was his bad behavior that started all this and this has to be addressed but not but going one to one with the kid.
