Kids say the first thing to pop into thier skull..

Some adults however, are alive merely because it's illegal to kill them...

I wonder, Thorny, if by the time he's school age you can prepare him to explain his condition with confidence. A girl I went to school with as a young child was burned head to toe (her father burned down the home she and her mother were living in :mad) and she looked quite shocking, especially to a 5 year old, but no one ever picked on her because she was so confident about her skin. She'd tell us what it was like, what she could/couldn't do, explained the bandages she wore...and we all treated her appropriately as a result.

I think if she were to shrug off questions or get embarrassed some kids may have needled her, especially the ones with shittacular parents at home.

Just a thought.

it is not that bad but he always had that...
his hands look like sandpaper a lot of times that how bad gets even now
it is hard to see a little child suffer i remember when my son was a baby there was a spot always will brake the skin and bleed and while getting better will start again

just don't let it bother you what some morons say or do

My friend has a birth defect. She's 28 now. She has a shirt that says "keep staring. I do tricks."

People are stupid and she actually finds it hard to get a job even though her IQ is out of this world

She wants plastic surgery SO bad, but can't afford it.
