I guess it depends how you define work as well. I'd write during the day, which you could classify as work but I don't since it's something I actually want to do. And I bet some people with hobbies would love to do them full-time but wouldn't count that as a job either.

Well, regardless of how big a lottery I won, I would quit the job I have no matter what. My plan would be to come into work, gather all of my stuff and take it to my car, type up and print a resignation letter, then wipe the hard drive on my computer. After that, I'd walk to my boss' office, slam the letter down on his desk and tell him that he can go fuck himself. Then walk out the door. :D

After that, I'd go and finish school and find a career with far less stress that I might actually enjoy. If it was a huge lottery, then I'd still go to school, but get a degree in something that I wanted to learn rather than something that would further a career. Since at that point I don't know if I'd ever work full-time... maybe become an entrepreneur or something, or get a doctorate in history and teach a class or two at a college. Who knows.

I used to say I would...but if I won enough to keep me well taken care of the rest of my life, I'd quit my job and travel.

I think it would depend on the people you work with...for me, with all the politics and BS I work with in my office with management and supervisors and team leaders on power trips cause they were given some authority, I would respectfully give my notice than have to endure being treated differently, having new "friends" I never knew I had and all that jazz...no thank you...people say they would get bored...I say hell no..if I wanna continue to work, I'll find a part time job working from home or work somewhere else where people didn't know me if I wanted to interact with people...other than that...I'd find plenty of ways to occupy my time and keep myself preoccupied and be content...

No chance. I've got far too many things I'd like to do if I had pretty much unlimitted money without getting bored enough to work.
