Depends on how much I win and what my job is.

A couple of millions isn't going to be enough to support yourself for the rest of your life. 20 million on Euro Millions is a different matter entirely. And I would give large chunks to charities.

And it depends on the job. I've been considering studying Midwifery at Uni. If I qualified as a Midwife and won the lottery, I would keep working. There aren't enough Midwives as it is. But a job in a supermarket is a different matter. I'd give that up in a heartbeat.

I've worked in a supermarket, I swear it is the dullest job in the world, its no wonder why managers are paid way too much :24:

Well, I don't work now :24:
That said, hubby would probably resign from his high stress position, and look for something more soul-fulfilling.

I wouldn't keep working. If you get enough in the first instance, you can put some away and live off the interest, plus if you got enough to buy your house outright you'd no longer have a mortgage to worry about. So I'd give it up and spend my time doing things I actually want to do.

Would you go back to work?

This thread isn't about what you would do with the money (yawn...)

Yes I would go back to work........... but just to tell 'em to go fuck themselves. And then I would leave assuming they would do exactly that. :thumbup

Hey... I'm not supposed to be able to do this due to the forced ignore. :24: :24: :24:

If I won the lotto and the pot was big enough to support me and my whole family for the rest of my life.... I would definitely not go back to work. I might give them the required two weeks notice though. :)

That would be a good idea, to be on good terms with them, just in case you might need them :thumbup

I would start renting out apartments/houses, and possibly start a business on top of that, you've gotta realize that even if you win a huge amount of money you're probably going to run out at some point and make sure you invest some of it to make sure you always have more income coming in.

I would start my own business and do that. As far as going back to where I currently work, probably for a few weeks to help transition over a new DM, then I would be out. The business I work for is owned by a good friend, so I would not just leave him high and dry. He relies on me for a lot.

I'm thinking he would be your best friend after you won. I betcha anyones best friend count would increase unless of course you were ... um... skip it.
