of your country, what new stuff would you introduce?

Mine

Appolagise for the war in Iraq, distance myself from the former regime in this regard, keep troops there for as long as the current Iraq government wanted them

Legalise all drugs, abolish drugs as an excuse in court, introduce tax on drugs

Legalise smoking in pubs but at the landlords discression

Reduce tax on alcohol and tobacco

Introduce community service for the unemployed claiming jobseekers allowance

Refuse to to join the Euro, pull out of the EU but establish friendly trade links

Increase community service for non violent crimes, reduce prison sentences for it unless it's a three strikes rule in which case I would increase it

Abolish car tax, add it on to fuel instead

Increase spending on health care

Reduce spending on red tape.

Yeah, I know there's a lot more to it that this but these would be some priorities for me.

Come on, you know that to provide good stuff you need to take money from other stuff. Realistically, how would you do this?

Proportional voting system

Taxes according to income (you make more, you pay more)

Tax large vehicles more

legalize most drugs

national health care

Increase finance to alternative fuel sources that are actually feasible and work, unlike biofuel

Construct electric producing windmills more on the coast

award people who buy gas efficient cars with tax write offs

Construct public lyceums

Make college free

Repeal a lot of gun laws

....I'll think of more later.

No.. I'd put caps on the amount of money one person can accumulate. No ones needs more than $20,000,000 in personal finances. Anything made after that, they would either have to put into a business (theirs or someone else's) or hand over to the government.

Meh, I don't really like the idea of the government telling me how much I can earn. But, I do agree that some people make way too much. That is why I think taxing the rich is a good idea, it evens things out a bit.

Yet they'll still become richer... just slower..

I dream of a classless society..

Funny story... A friend of mine one year didn't have a costume for this night club Halloween costume so somehow he found a potato... Dunno where he got it, tied it around his waist and put it over his crotch and when the DJ asked him what he was supposed to be he said ""I'm a Dick Tater"... True story....

I believe that we should get further in society through the work we put in. I still believe that there should be an acceptable standard of living though for people who through no fault of their own cant work.

Yeah, I don't really like the whole "classless" society thing, really. I mean, I see it's point, but I think people who work hard should be rewarded rather than rewarding people who leech off of others.

It kind of gets back to my view on prisons, yes they should be punished but the're hardly going to improve themselves without motivation whether we think they should or not, the human mind in general just dosent work that way.
