Bush expanded Medicare, and Obama didn't even bother seeking permission to attack Libya. A pine and a maple are both trees, even though their leaves look different.

You just proofed that they are different.....so... I would take this statement away >>>>>>>It seems you elected Bush for a third term.

That's the point of the thread. They're not different. They just look different to the unobservant.

Anybody told you lately that you very hard to understand for an un educated person like me ?
:p
Sorry.

Obama pushed through his gov't healthcare program / Bush expanded his gov't healthcare program
Obama attacked Libya without provocation / Bush attacked Iraq without provocation

People keep pretending there are stark differences between dems and repubs when none actually exist.

Another example:
Obama is demonized for his intrusive environmental programs, when it was GW Bush that signed the legislation that is de facto banning incandescent lightbulbs.

So - there is no difference in:

Lowering taxes on the wealthiest Americans, sending the nation into TWO wars and then borrowing money from private banks to pay for it all, benefitting the military industrial complex and Wall Street.

-And-

Attempting to secure universal health care for all Americans and allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire on the wealthiest Americans to pay for it - benefitting the working class, middle class and small business class?

Really? You see no difference?

And before you bring up Libya - how about comparing the cost between Iraq, Afghanistan and Lybia. Sorry - but Bush's borrowed money wars far exceed a few bombs dropped in Libya.

Lets get real here.

The first 8 minutes certainly look like it supports my idea.

Yes, let's get real. You're arguing degrees by parroting talking points. Should I respond by parroting the other talking points that the taxes were lowered across the board, so that you can respond that the bulk of the benefit went to the rich? It's a distraction from the bigger problem.
You agree in one breath that both sides have the same corporate owners, then in the next go right back into your partisan rut.

You've never answered my challenge that I've repeated several times: Name one major federal program started when one party was in power that was eliminated when the other party regained power.

Sorry Acc, but there are glaring differences as well as similarities. You seem to be choosing to ignore the obvious differences that I clearly pointed out.

I can live with federal programs that help the toiling masses, but I cannot abide by programs that further enrich the oligarchy at the expense of the masses.

You've never answered my challenge that I've repeated several times: Name one major federal program started when one party was in power that was eliminated when the other party regained power.

I must have missed that. No argument there. I'm still an advocate for the working class regardless. Fuck the oligarchy. They don't need taxpayer help. I'm for the working, middle and small business class. The right fucks them and advocates unapologetically in the interests of the oligarchy. I'm for dismantling any program that benefits the oligarchy.

My post was meant to answer your question. Are you under the impression we're arguing? Because it seems to me that we agree on this.
I posted you the video to make sure I understand that this is your point of view and you gave me your confirmation...;)

I got this video 2 day's ago and immediately thought about you....while watchin it ....:cool
