I love my cousin but she's an idiot

OMG...I've seen burn victims fresh out of fires that are paler than that first guy!!! YUCK!!!

Shey makes a good point. Some tanning beds DO emit an extra does of Vitamin D and are even recommended by some doctors as treatment for a Vitamin D deficiency. Doesn't mean I don't think it'd be better to get in the actual sun, though.

I will say this...pre-pollen season I was all about being outside in the sun (not for tanning reasons...for exercise reasons). But now the pollen is so bad (we're registering an 11.2 on a scale of 12 right now) that I do all my exercise in the gym instead. So if I *were* a tanner I would probably be doing to a tanning bed instead of laying out outdoors. Seriously, cars in front of me kick up pollen that's on the road and I can barely see...wind blows and a huge cloud of pollen rains down from the trees. YUCK!!!

I haven't this year, but normally the winter time is when I'll hit up tanning beds often. I, for one, already have a vitamin d deficiency, and for two the winter weather makes it even worse with the winter blues. So tanning doesn't make someone an idiot, not even if they go a couple days in a row. It's people that think they need to do it every day for extended periods of times and aren't doing it responsibly. 10 minutes in a tanning bed is equivalent to an hour outside so if you are being responsible about it there's nothing wrong with it.

OH and just FYI being outside for extended periods of time and in the sun can cause skin cancer too. So I guess everyones an idiot that wants to soak up the suns rays or just enjoy the nice weather outside. HAHAHA PFFFFFTTTT

I've never really thought about it. LOL Shhhhhhhh, though...the red hair ain't natural. ;) It's that Irish blood (for real, not just b/c it was St. Patty's Day a few days ago)...damn fair skin and freckles.

Oh and I forgot to say earlier that I have never used a tanning bed b/c I always thought it would feel like laying in a casket...and I've dispatched 2 structure fires that were caused by tanning bans and that kinda turned me off of EVER trying it.
