She was sayin that she just got back from tanning and i kinda just shook my head and said "you went tanning? you know that shit causes cancer right?" she told me the body needs Vitamin D so it was good for it. Ugh no. Go out in the sun for a while with the kids. it's a beautiful fucking day.

you're telling someone to go outside?:humm:...........

I agree with him too. But I NEED sun or I truly do get depressed. When I was living in Seattle for five months in the winter I 'bout slit my throat I missed the sun so bad, so if I lived there I'd have to do something in the winter

The thing is while I never knew my grandmother she died of cancer! a totally different type of cancer but still cancer so when I hear things like tanning beds cause cancer, It just makes me shake my head esp. when it's family. I'm talking my mother brothers daughter not some third cousin.

My dad has a variant of skin cancer, and my sister has the same skin type as him so she's probably at risk. They're both redheads. Whereas my mum and I and the other sister have much better skin in the sun, we tan instead of burning. Still, knowing it's in the family makes me wary about overdoing it.

Plus... ever since I saw Final Destination 3, I will never get in a tanning bed.

*shiver* that scene was awful. Cancer runs in my family, too. My dad has had a few minor surgeries (on his back and his face) because of skin cancer. I've always been wary. Especially since I went to California a few years ago and forgot sunscreen. My skin turned purple and blistered. I take my sunning in very minor doses now. :D
