Did you check your manual? Bet ya didn't. :D

Anywhoo. This is what you need to do. It is very important that you have your camera set to a mode recognized by " Live View" which btw should be in section 5 of your manual. ;)
Here's a snip...

Here's the actual link I snipped it from. Canon Digital Learning Center - Live View: EOS Rebel XSi

  • " 1. Be sure you’re shooting in P, Tv, Av, M, or the A-DEP exposure modes The camera is designed so that Live View is intentionally disabled in the full-auto modes, such as the Green Zone, Portrait mode, Landscape mode, and so on. If you want to have the convenience of totally automatic exposure along with Live View, use the P (Program) mode — it sets shutter speeds and apertures totally automatically, like the Green Zone mode, but now allows access to all menu settings, including Live View. "

It's my opinion that you should forget about live view and get used to using the actual viewfinder. It will make you a better photographer. Others may disagree and that's ok. I'll just shoot them and put 'em out of their misery.

I actually did look in my manuel.. didnt read it from front to cover yet.. But I will soon. I didnt see any chapters with it. Thank you very much tho. :)

I don't think you can see the picture on the screen as you're taking it unless it's on the display mode.

We talked about this in my digital photography class...if you do figure out how to do it- let me know!

I dunno.. My eyes change colors. example, this is what my eyes look like when they get alittle lighter..

They have a red tint to them in the center.. its strange. and no its not 'red eye' on a camera... This is how they actually look.
