I think Janie got that one. I don't have one , mines a touch better :D but I'll try and answer your question or point you in the right direction if I can't. Fire away Boss Lady.

edit: If I don't answer right away it's cuz I went to get food for Mrs.Guyzerrs pussy.

My question is: How can I see the picture on the LCD screen instead of having to look through the view finder,, i did it on the display one, but I cant figure out how to do it on this one. I can see it AFTER I take the pc, just not before.

Did you check your manual? Bet ya didn't. :D

Anywhoo. This is what you need to do. It is very important that you have your camera set to a mode recognized by " Live View" which btw should be in section 5 of your manual. ;)
Here's a snip...

Here's the actual link I snipped it from. Canon Digital Learning Center - Live View: EOS Rebel XSi

  • " 1. Be sure you’re shooting in P, Tv, Av, M, or the A-DEP exposure modes The camera is designed so that Live View is intentionally disabled in the full-auto modes, such as the Green Zone, Portrait mode, Landscape mode, and so on. If you want to have the convenience of totally automatic exposure along with Live View, use the P (Program) mode — it sets shutter speeds and apertures totally automatically, like the Green Zone mode, but now allows access to all menu settings, including Live View. "

It's my opinion that you should forget about live view and get used to using the actual viewfinder. It will make you a better photographer. Others may disagree and that's ok. I'll just shoot them and put 'em out of their misery.
