LMAO! Believing in a god with no concrete evidence is blind faith!
The fact that you believe that there is no concrete evidence, doesn't make it so.LMAO! Believing in a god with no concrete evidence is blind faith!
History and archaeology tell me this. Now if you are saying that there was a 40 year period when Egypt was uninhabited by man and beast, you'll need to show when that happened.Who told you that?
No I don't. I have history and archaeology to confirm it.You believe all these things because you accept them in blind faith.
So why don't you accept that same history and archaeology when it confirms the Bible?History and archaeology tell me this. Now if you are saying that there was a 40 year period when Egypt was uninhabited by man and beast, you'll need to show when that happened.
No I don't. I have history and archaeology to confirm it.
If there is concrete evidence, produce it. If there is concrete evidence why are you required to have 'faith'? If there is concrete evidence why do we have thousands of different denominations of Christianity all claiming different 'truths'? If there was concrete evidence people wouldn't be on this forum arguing would they? The fact that you believe that there is no concrete evidence, doesn't make it so.
I do. The Bible contains many mentions of people and places that did actually exist but that doesn't prove the Bible true and accurate any more than Homer's 'Ilyad' or "Odyssey" is true and accurate because it mentions Mt Olympus or Flemming's "James Bond" books are true and accurate because they mention London. So why don't you accept that same history and archaeology when it confirms the Bible?
Even if I would produce concrete evidence, you would still reject it.If there is concrete evidence, produce it.
One must always have faith to come to God. What kind of a son doesn't have faith in his fathers sincerity. If you don't have faith when you come to God, why should He reveal Himself. It's just like saying : 'God I don't trust you'If there is concrete evidence why are you required to have 'faith'?
The fact that we have different denominations doesn't have anything to do with lack of evidence of Gods existence. It has all to do with evidence that man is a fallen creature and has trouble living in unity with each other. If there is concrete evidence why do we have thousands of different denominations of Christianity all claiming different 'truths'?
You are not looking for evidence, you are looking for trying to disprove Christianity. If there was concrete evidence people wouldn't be on this forum arguing would they?
Homer did not claim to be God and prove it. Neither did Flemming or any creature that God has created.I do.
Try me!Even if I would produce concrete evidence, you would still reject it.
.Faith is simply the practice of ignoring the supportable in favour of a desired belief. Faith is nothing but a way to lie to yourself when the evidence refuses to say what you want it to say.One must always have faith to come to God
I didn't say it did. I said that if there was "concrete evidence" for the existence of god there wouldn't be thousands of different denominations all with different ideas of what god does, did, thinks, wants or doesn't want. The "concrete evidence" would dispel all of that. The fact that we have different denominations doesn't have anything to do with lack of evidence of Gods existence.
I don't need to disprove Christianity. It manages well enough on it's own.You are not looking for evidence, you are looking for trying to disprove Christianity.
You missed the point by a mile luc.Homer did not claim to be God and prove it. Neither did Flemming or any creature that God has created.
So you keep saying.Try me!
.Faith is simply the practice of ignoring the supportable in favour of a desired belief. Faith is nothing but a way to lie to yourself when the evidence refuses to say what you want it to say.
Faith is never a good thing. Faith is the psychological mechanism which allows us to deny reality and accept, in its place, a desirable fantasy. And you recognize this in every other aspect of your life. When you drive, you don't just charge through red lights because you recognize the reality of the danger -- you subscribe to the evidence. If you're working on the wiring in your home and you see the wires arcing, you won't simply grab the wires in faith that nothing will harm you. Instead you'll subscribe to the evidence and seek to cut the power before continuing.
Faith equals denial of reality and it's never a good thing. Faith is what allows people to believe that black cats can bring them bad luck. Faith is what allowed people to throw their own children into volcanoes. Faith should always be seen as a negative because that's exactly what faith is.
I didn't say it did. I said that if there was "concrete evidence" for the existence of god there wouldn't be thousands of different denominations all with different ideas of what god does, did, thinks, wants or doesn't want. The "concrete evidence" would dispel all of that.

Listen Temperamental. I hope you're sat down at the moment because this may come as a bit of a shock to you. There's no other way of breaking this to you other than coming straight out with it...sometimes one has to be cruel to be kind eh?
You ask how could anyone how known about human reproduction 1428 years ago. Well, the Egyptians had a good idea of how it all worked...they even knew what the function of the testicles were. The Greeks, Romans and Chinese knew about it too. So if this knowledge being known 1428 years ago amazes you, you must have had your socks blown off to find that the process of human reproduction was actually understood (in very basic form) as far back as 3000BCE. Just think of that dude......that's 4428 years BEFORE the Quran was even written!!
