On the roads. Distracted drivers are everywhere. Those are an accident looking to happen. Quit texting while you drive!

Then there is road rage which I experience every time I leave the house. "For the love of GOD! If the speed limit is 35 MPH and you are so nervous you have to hit your brakes when you get to 30 MPH....Pull over park and walk or just stop driving altogether!"

I tend to get road rage a lot as well. We have got to have some of the worst drivers here in AZ. Then you give them phones and other shit to distract them. But I have been guilty of having my passangers grab the Bitch/ oh shit bar in my car. Lol

It really is scary, I see a lot of drivers with their heads down. I think, though I know it may seem wrong, cell phone use all together has to be banned in order for this to reduce a bit. In Canada, I never see people holding phones, I called (forgetting it was illegal) when I was there and people were glaring at me. They seem to take it seriously. No one does here.

That is where I am coming from. I used to not get raging angry but I find myself getting there more often. Some people have always driven poorly but all the rules are out the window around here. People don't signal. They run the red lights. They cruise 10 MPH under the limit in the left lane. They refuse to use the turn lanes. They generally drive stupid and i am not sure how much is distractions. If I drove a tank a few minutes ago there would be a grease spot where there was a car.

There are laws here about texting & phone usage but just like speeding, people drive like they don't care about the laws.

Yesterday I was getting on the interstate and this car would not speed up or drop back to let me on. So I dropped back. When I was exiting. The same guy decides he was going to exit too. But no damn turn signal. I can not stand inconsiderate drivers.

Yes it is serious in Canada and the fine in my area is $179.00 for the first offence but I still see people do this daily.. It amazes me that people are that stupid to use Cellphones while driving..

Then there are those who think holding the cellphone up, while it is on speakerphone, is the same as being on bluetooth.. NOT...

Bluetooth technology, as good as it maybe, still have issues from time to time and one of our guys just touched his phone on the dash, as a cop pulled up beside him, to connect his bluetooth and phone while at a light and got a ticket.. But it amazes me so many get away with still talking on them an no one sees them doing it but ME.. :eek

And yes, the new laws have pushed people to put the phones below belt level so law enforcement does not see texting, reading emails and so on while driving.. I personally think it's gotten more dangerous.. :mad

I'm not stupid, it's just legal here and I forgot *blush*

I do agree though, hiding your phone in your lap only makes it more dangerous, it's definitely something that needs to be corrected somehow.

I know my ex took my parents and I to a Tigers game on the busy expressway and he texted, switched lanes without indicating, and sped 25 over the limit the whole way while working an ipod. My dad about LOST his damn mind when we got home. :24:

I was agreeing with you by the way.. :p

I understand that at times we all feel compelled to pick it up.. We see daycare, hospital numbers or retirement homes where our families are.. I will pick it up and damn the $179.00 because I know trying to get a hold of the other side, should I miss the call, will be impossible and it could be and has been an emergency.. But I will pull over as quick as I can.. Thankfully i have not gotten that ticket yet.. :willy_nilly:

And yes I have done illegal things in places I did not know the law and gotten dirty looks.. Live and learn.. Not doing it again is what makes you the better person.. ;)

He was the worst driver I have ever seen in my life, on the aggressive side. I've seen bad scared ones, but this guy literally fears nothing. He totaled his brand new jeep in 6 months of having it. He would text me and play on his PSP and drive with his knee. Idiot.
