Hunger Games

I saw it last week. I must say, it left me with a queasy feeling in my stomach. Don't get me wrong, the movie was great. It is action filled and has a very emotional/romantic side. The first part between the sisters brought tears to my eyes.. What I didn't like about the movie is the mindset behind it. How humans make other humans go through these "games" where they have to murder each other. I just find that repulsive.

i get the feeling you didnt read the book :p

I really liked it. I have to admit, I was surprised they spent so much time on the pre-game stuff and kind of rushed through the games themselves. Not that I'm disappointed in that, it was truer to the book - but I thought for a movie adaptation they might have played up the action parts more.

I didn't but I though Lenny was great and the girl who played Rue was pretty good.

It does say in the book that Rue is dark skinned - basically it says she's black - as all the people from her district, but I didn't catch on to that...

Not that I automatically assume people are blond and blue eyed if there's no description, but I just didn't catch it.
