no prob! had me wondering as well! LoL like i said, it had been 5 years since last talking to my dr about it! but i do remember asking about it and him saying that pregnancy and a vaginal birth will help with 'curing' it
Im on the Depo! havent had a period (or PMS) in *5* years!! i dont have insurance, and my depo is only $40 to fill every 3 months (i inject it myself)
And just a FYI
When the doctor needs to freeze your cervix and scrape the cells. It's because he sees abnormal cell growth which can mean the onset of cancer, but it DOES NOT mean it's cancer. They actually need to test those extracted cells to know.
But by identifying abnormal cells and removing them, it can prevent it from progressing to cancer. It doesn't mean you are in the clear, but it stops those cells from progressing any further.
It's actually more common than you think to find abnormal cells. And it's very few of these cases that have cancer.
Bottom line, get your yearly pap
I had no periods the first time I was on it, too. This time it's really annoying spotting a lot. But mostly, they're gone. Fortunately, the PMS is gone, so that makes me slightly less crazy..lol
