I understand what both Peter and Ed are saying at any rate.

But Ed, why does the doctor have to give it out? Why can't we let private interests handle it and let people make some money.

I just think a doctor is the best one to inform the user of the dangers of becoming addicted to the stuff. Long term heroin addiction can cause quite a few nasty problems in the body. Best coming from a doctor than a private interest who would most likely want you to get addicted.

I just wanna point a few things out... about some of the drugs doctor's prescribe now

Now I'm kinda iffy on that site's sources because St John's is not good to take for depression. So they haven't updated in a bit, but I've been on a lot of those. Blood pressure, liver problems, kidney failure- doctor's prescribe these so I don't know why they would have a problem handing out a script for weed.

However with MJ, the level of danger is so low that yah- I'd like to be able to go to a smoke shop and pick some up. It's be nice not to have to deal with dealers too- they're scary! >.<

Now if my doctor tried to give me heroin...I'd probably get another doctor...cause I've seen what that shit does to a person. No thank you. XD

But that's for medical reasons to help them, not just because they want to get high

Why does anyone need to be warned by a doctor of the dangers of heroin? It's common knowledge it's an addictive and harmful drug. Why cant they just stick a warning on the packet like they do cigarettes?

You'd be surprised how much more helpful it is coming from a doctor than a stupid label.

Also, are the dangers common knowledge? The amount of crap I've read about drugs from the govt is incredible. What I'm talking about is actual truth, not propaganda.

I mean it's extremely simple. Just copy Amsterdam, they seem to be getting along fine with it. Not to mention it would boost the economy a hell of alot and help us get out of debt. And help taxpayers so they dont have to support so many people unnecessarily being in jail for smoking weed.

Everything used to be legal. They had small amounts of cocaine in coca cola. You could order opium or heroin to be delivered to your house with a syringe too back in the day.

Sadly, neither do I, never.
There are tons of activists that are trying to legalize it for years, but the closest to legalization we will get is where I am from: Holland.

Here in Spain they encourage you to grow, but it makes people greedy for money..
