I sleep between 6-8 hours per 24 hour period. Usually 5-6 hours of those are at night. Then I sleep again in the afternoon. Usually my afternoon 'nap' is at least 45 minutes but if I didn't sleep much at night or didn't sleep well, it's sometimes as long as three hours. It just depends how tired I feel and how much I have to do that day.

I try to get a solid 8 hours a night but usually end up with about 6. I get insomnia from time to time and it is the worst. I can get maybe 4 hours of sleep thats broken up. This will go on for days until i am so over tired I crash out for close to ten hours. I can be a bear when I am over tired. On the weekends I like to try and grab some extra sleep. Not so hard in the winter but in the summer forget it with the heat. As I have gotten older I find I toss and turn a lot in my sleep. This will wake me up after awhile and it is hard to get relaxed enough to go back to sleep.

Unfortunately, I live in a two room apartment, of which they are being nice and letting me stay here. Since it's so small when they sleep I have to sleep because when they are up I have to be up (two rooms, can't escape the noise or light) and I sleep on a cramped ass love seat/sofa. So usually, 3-6 hours at a time maybe. Anything over 5 is win. I'm used to living on 3-4 and napping in between when I find quiet lulls in the days.

I usually get around 6 to 8 hours of sleep per day. Anything less than that and I feel groggy. I used to sleep very early in the mornings, but now I sleep early and wake up in the early mornings.

As I generally get up at 6am and sometimes much earlier in the summer and for some reason have always found it virtually impossible to go to bed early regardless of what time I have to get up the following day - I'm not exactly sure what my average amount of sleep would be - but that said - as the time I go to bed tends to vary and isn't helped by the fact that its common practice where I live to eat supper somewhere around 9 or 10pm and I rarely ever go to be bed much before midnight - I think it would probably be safe to say somewhere in the range of 4 - 6 hours and very definitely more like 4 in the summer - as our summers are generally way,way too hot for sleeping.

My father is an upbeat person despite the fact that he often has trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep.

If I had the sleep issues that he has, I'd be miserable!

I don't know how he manages being upbeat considering that he has the worst sleep issues.

I'm glad I don't have those issues when it comes to sleep.

I usually get at least 7 hours of sleep, but I prefer 8 - 10. I love to sleep. This week I've been sleeping like crap. Took some NyQuil today and slept for 7 hours, so I feel better now. I think it's getting used to sleeping alone again. :(
