Ok, lets put alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll religious beliefs aside for now. Lets all be atheists for a moment ( I can dream). Now, with that said, do you have anything against homosexuality based purely on who the are or what they do?

THIS IS NOT A NATURE vs NURTURE DEBATE. DO NOT BRING THAT INTO THIS.

i have no problem with homosexuals. It's not the life I would choose, obviously, but if that's how someone wants to live their life, there really isn't much I can do about it.

I agree with this. It's not the boat I'd ever float in, but if you wanna take the cruise then don't makes waves in my pond.

I don't care about it and I don't think it should even be brought up. Nothing personal, it's just there's nothing more to really say about it.

No problem whatsoever with it. Personally I find it kind of gross to watch two men making out but thats because that stuff dosen't float my boat just the same as I'd find it gross watching an old couple get in each others pants. I agree with Homer about those who act the wrong way in public but that applies to straight people being sexual in public as well and there's a time and a place. If a gay man wants to wear a pair of tight leather trousers with the arse cut out in a club in Soho, thats fine. If he wants to walk down his local high street in broad daylight like that though, it isn't. The same sort of thing applied to straight people as well though. If some girl wants to flash her tits in a nightclub, no problem, doing it in the middle of the hight street during the day is wrong though.
Oh, and its up to them how they speak but I do find those silly voices some gay people put on, really annoying.

The exaggerated flamboyant feminine thing is kinda annoying. All gay men don't act that way, I'm just referring to those who do. I am a "Do your own thing and let me do mine" guy so I won't comment on the lifestyle choice itself, it's none of my concern.

One of the arguments I have heard from various people is the "They flaunt their sexuality so much in public!". Well....so do heterosexuals...and no more so.

I don't see why people would get grossed out by two men kissing either.

I just some of them flaunt it in public too much and I'm only talking about indecent public behaviour which I have as much as a problem with as with straight people doing.
I dont know why two gay men kissing grosses me out, it just does but seeing I have no problem with them doing that I don't see why it should be a problem how I feel.

Oh, that wasn't leveled at you, it was just more of a general statement. :)

It probably grosses you out because of conditioning by society which is still pretty homophobic. That doesn't make you homophobic in any sense of the word, but your surroundings/people/media do determine how you feel on certain things.

Yeah, you're probably right, I was brought up to believe homosexuality was wrong, God hates them and so should I. Half the reason that I hate religion so much. Oh yeah, I do mean I hate religion, sorry if it offends anyone!;)

i just don't like it when they flaunt it. And when i say flaunt i mean they have to let everyone know they are gay. who cares? you dont see me telling everyone i'm straight.

Rosie O'Donnel is a good example with this. When she was on the view i think she let everyone know she was a lesbian at least once a day...what a pain in my ass.

Peter, why apologize for stressing yr beliefs? You haven't said anything wrong, so no apology needed. ;)

Anyway, no AEF, I have nothing against gay men or women. I am straight, but so what with others' who are not - who the hell has the right to critisize a person for being gay? No-one.

I have some lovely gay friends, that are male and it hurts to see them being treated like they are scum - they are actually so much nicer and much more genuine than some ppl I know.

We've covered this subject before, but still - let ppl be who they really are. No-one has a right to tamper with their minds for being that way. :)

I don't understand why it is considered homophobic if you don't like seeing two of the same sex kissing. Homophobic means you have a fear of homosexuals. Not liking it is not a fear of it...

Well, maybe not homophobic but I think its a bit silly if a person gets the "oogies" from seeing two men sharing a kiss.
