K, so i'm starting to workout more at home, I have a 25lb weight i just bought, how many reps do you think i should do on each arm just starting out?
Working out is all about setting goals. Are you looking to build strength, endurance, size, shape, etc...?
How much weight, how many reps, what order to do things in, all depends on your goals, your current condition, and where you stand genetically.
What are your goals? Are you planning on only working your arms and running? You can get into great shape with isometrics and cardio, but you won't get really big. You'll need to use more than 25lbs weights for any significant bulk gain.
Diet is important. You need protein to build muscle.
An easy, genaric rule of thumb is: "Lots of reps, low weight for definition and endurance. Low reps, high weight for strength and size."
There is a ton of info out there, but first you need to know where you want to end up. After you get that figured out, run down to your local GNC, or grocery store, and pick up some muscle / performance mags. They're a good place to start, and they'll be packed full of internet links to more helpful information.
Good luck!!!
