As far as actually homeschooling kids, if it's done right, I think there's nothing wrong with it. Certainly, for some kids, it's a much better choice than a more traditional school setting.

I don't know about home schooling, all the home schooled people I know are weird and have no social life.

I was just talking about this on another forum, so:
American government schools are AWFUL. The staff are either ignorant or hamstrung, the students don't want to be there (with good reason) and the whole purpose of the thing is basically a Republican Humanist delusion of molding model citizens.

Thinking about public schools makes me physically ill.
That most people are stupid, that the government feels it has the right to arbitrarily command you and a bunch of nonsensical 'studies' that are either false or total gibberish?
I'd much rather spend time in a non-hostile environment developing useful talents and enjoying myself than learning these 'lessons'.

Frankly, I think sending children to state schools is tantamount to gross negligence.
